I recently plugged in AlphaRex tail lights and already had the PRO headlights installed and now the turn signals are flickering. Both from and rear end. Emailed AlphaRex but haven’t gotten a response yet. I’m assuming I’ll have to get a resistor. Anyone had the same issues? Any instructions on How and where would I plug in the resistor?

Are they flickering or do you have hyperflash? Those are two different things with different causes and cures.

Hyper flash. Happened when I installed my tail lights

Ok, that narrows it down. You need to add resistors in line or replace your flasher unit with one specifically designed for LEDs. If you want my 2 cents, the flasher unit is the safer, more elegant route to go since it solves the whole problem and doesn't require hacking into wiring harnesses.

Any links for one? There’s no videos on the subject that I’ve seen. Any tips into where I even start?

Yeah I’m going with diode dynamics. Would I have to get four resistors? Or just the two for the taillights since everything was working before I got them installed

I'd skip the resistors and go with the flasher. A bit more difficult to get to / install, but a much safer and more elegant solution.

How much safer? Would my resistors end up failing at some point? Also, not many informative videos on installing the flasher unit. Any tips? Maybe a pic of where exactly it goes. Trying to get this done right

Do you have any wiring experience? Are you comfortable taking part of your dashboard apart? (The link that @Revelations provided shows the location.) The problem I have with resistors is that one has to hack them into the wiring harness at each location. Done incorrectly, you'll have problems down the road.

If you have DRL, i dont think the flasher relay will work. It didnt for me and I ended up using Morimoto resistors.

I installed Alpharex headlights and Morimoto taillights on my Ram 1500 2018. I had hyper flash on my blinkers and errors codes on my dash that blinkers weren't working. I called Alpharex and they told me I needed resistors, they didn't work. I called them back up and they told me I needed to flash my trucks ECU to hack the dealer settings and accept led lights. So I bought everything I needed to make it happen and it all works wonderfully now. Here is the video for those who want to see it. I am not a to the point type of film maker, its more of a day in the life of Lou vlog so excuse the randomness.
