Hi anybody! I just changed my plugs with Denso ome plugs. The issue is when going into neutral while moving, the RPMs rev up to at least 2k then back down to 1k then back up to 2k over and over. It also happens when I put the clutch in. If I’m sitting still at idle it’s normal though. I wish i had saved my old worn out plugs because I’m wanting to sell soon.
Thanks to anyone willing to toss me some advice!

Did you happen to clean the throttle body when you were there?

Something isn't hooked up or plugged up. Look around.

    Better yet....post pix

    Thanks for quick response.
I didn’t clean the throttle body, was I supposed to?. I did clean the MAF sensor. I’m at 160k and didn’t look like they’d been changed before, the plugs were crazy worn down. I have way more power now and then engine is quieter.
One thing tho the pcv hose seemed to have a loose connection and was cracking at the top.

This is the cracking loose pcv hose.

First of all make sure all your hoses are hooked up properly.
I would clean the throttle body and MAF, disconnect the battery for a few min, start it up and let it idle to operating temp, and then drive it around a bit to let it relearn it's idle.

That's not going to hurt anything. Back up and lets see everything else in that area

They all get that way, my 14 is like that and it's never been touched.
As long as it isn't split below the clamp it's fine.

I also have this crazy stuff on the intake stiffener bracket I’ve never seen in tutorials for plug changes.

It all looks in order, I'd do the TB cleaning and idle relearn and see how it does.
Toyota's can be funny about their idle when anything changes until they relearn.

Back up more and pan to the left some.

Also....how did you clean the MAF and were you gentle with it?

I cleaned the MAF with MAF spray cleaner. There’s too many harsh shadows now. I’ll post in the AM. Thanks y’all!

When I did my plugs, I removed the air box and intake tube to free up more work area.
If you did this, make sure all the hoses and connections are tight.

I was gentle handling it, never touched the sensor, though i sprayed a lot, up in the openings too. I was mainly concerned to change plugs bc sometimes I’d get a hesitant start.. It’d turn over then delay before engine went.. and didn’t start a couple times past few months until i hooked up a jump starter. Figured i better check the plugs.
