No harm no foul. Just passing on info. You can hit the multi quote button and go to the next page or even a different forum and thread and the quotes will still show up when you hit Insert quotes. Handy feature.

I ordered five tires. All shipped from the same place on the same day. FedEx tracking says four will arrive today and one tomorrow. I guess the truck was full?

I wonder if it the issue has to do with a specific hub. I had some 4runner parts shipped down from Washington State and some other stuff from Chicago. All of it came on time with no issues. I have a lot of issues with the US mail.

Got the 3" lift and M/T's. New TRD grill. Need to remove ladder rack as I have a box liner to install. Next project is headers, exhaust and cold air intake. Interesting observation on the FedEx debacle... I have everything but the headers and they are coming FedEx from NV to Tallahassee; bet the delay on this last part is related!

So I did my motor oil some while ago and i replaced the oil filter with a Lucas oil or K&N filter (I don’t remember) that said it should last 20,000 miles until it should be replaced. Do you guys believe those filters are legit or should they just be changed every oil change anyways? This filter probably has around 10,000-15,000 miles on it.

I wouldn't trust that - I only use synthetic oil and Toyota OEM filters on my trucks and have had no issues.

And also how much transmission oil do I need for a drain and fill for 3.4 v6? I don’t have my truck manual to look.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I use Mobil 1 with Lucas oil stabilizer with K&N filter.

I probably change oil around 8,000 miles on average. No issues.

I don't go for the whole 15,000-20,000 oil thing. You probably can go that long. But just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I use a measuting bucket to drain the trans fluid, and put in the same amount as I drained out.

Ya kinda what I’m thinking. I went ahead and just bought a new one.

Not a bad idea. Do you remember how much it usually was for you?

I want to say I get just about 8 quarts to drain. But I have a transmission cooler located under my bed. The cooler +all the lines adds almost 2 quarts to my total capacity and I don't know how much of that is part of what I get to drain out.

When I drained mine it was a tad over 4 quarts. I used a milk jug. But I didn’t drop the pan

Update. Three tires arrived today. The remaining two say they'll get here tomorrow. One of them says "Shipment exception"... sounds ominous.

FedEx was sitting on one of my packages for about 2 weeks -- had to have a guy on the inside shake a tree and then it was suddenly delivered the next afternoon

No such thing as color-matched handles on the first gen... Black or chrome...

That's not true. Radiant red, silver (not chrome) and black Limiteds had paint matched handles.

    S-Runners also had them

    Small wins!

Pulled the rack again, fished out the cam adjuster... and sure enough, it was horked. Called around the local area and found that only one dealer had any in stock. Luckily a warranty replacement was reasonably easy once a manager got involved. New one in with plenty of antiseize, and will try (for the 3rd time) to get this thing aligned after the new rack. Oye.

    @DashMaple @SiberianTacos

Here you go; it's not actually that tough a job IMO. Messy when you disconnect the PS lines, but not tough. Still, I don't recommend doing it 3 times in a week.

Would've been nice for my rack to have those, OEM, Forgot to center it before install and that's no fun.
