So I’m having the same exact issue my battery is less than a year old and it doesn’t matter whether it’s hot or cold outside

My issue seems to be hit or miss I can go weeks without it having a problem and then one day it will act up multiple times not sure the exact issue but it’s definitely brake related. It only happens when I press the brake pedal

In my everyday job, almost 99/100 times an electrical issue like that is due to a bad ground or Saturated wiring somewhere.

But I would probably just go to the dealership for a looksee if it were me.

    Best of luck!

    mine is exactly the same.
Anyone know where to find the electrical diagrams for the braking, lighting and audio system in a gen 2?

This same issue started occuring for me today. Hitting the brakes and radio reboots. Got home and noticed the lights flickered when I hit the brakes as well.

I had a similar issue in my wife’s Outback. Chased it down to the chassis ground for the radio head unit. Ground screw was just a tad loose. Braking caused the ground wire to shift. Just a thought. Didn’t have any headlight issues though.

Did anyone figure out a fix on this. The issue started again today with when I am driving. Hit the brake, no issues, hit the brake a second time and the head unit does a reset and AC controls reset. Dumbfounded at this point
