@tonered - Yep, that's what I was saying. Uninstall the current software, then reinstall, re-activate with a new key, then go into the Calibration Update Wizard folder to ensure that the CUW.exe file is there.

I already uninstalled and am currently downloading again.

    Yes. That should work.

You don't need to redownload the TS installer. The a/v cannot hurt that.

@tonered - OK, I think I am back up and running. I assume those CUW files (Cuw and Cuw_iQ_EMPS) are what I was missing before?

The file should open the cuw manager. If it does not you'll need to manually assign the .cuw file type to open the manager by opening it's properties page and assigning the "open with" program as the cuw.exe file from earlier. It does not need to be connected to the vehicle to work. But the cuw manager will connect to the vehicle after you click the next button

Tried opening the CUW file and was able to (cuw is now an option via "open with"). It launched the Wizard! Sweet!

It should work properly now. All you do is double click the file and follow the wizard. If the file is compatible or not it will tell you in the program. Just follow the screen prompts and make sure you either have a full charged battery or a battery tender so you don't lose power half way through flashing. I didnt have any issues following post 1 on the thread and my truck updated without issue.

Sure thing man, good luck and just make sure to read everything and you shouldn't have issues. The tech stream software is pretty good about holding your hand

Nothing to do with TS specifically, but I noticed in your screenshot above, you don't have your Windows Explorer file manager set to show extensions, and that might have helped you a lot in this process. In Explorer go to the View tab at top and click the box for File Name Extensions. It will be much better in the future now!

Good stuff. That is how it is supposed to work.

A/V programs are generally great, until they absolutely suck.

I'm going to look at a 2019 TRD OR 6MT tomorrow at Toyota dealer, is there any of these TSB's, updates mentioned in this thread I need to pay attention to?

@tonered, there's word of a 04A62 update for 2018 AT found when @PapaRee attempted to flash a A61 tune to someone's truck. Anything official as a reason for the update? Kreg sent it in to vfTuner so hopefully it will be supported before we're forced to update and lose our tune.

I saw. The only thing I can assume is that the remaining ATs are getting their due. Nothing in the form of a TSB yet. Friggin' Toyota!

My problem would be that my dealer (just to be nice) would take it upon himself and just do an ECU update without asking or telling me beforehand. If I was informed of what this update accomplished I could decide yea or nay but I wouldn’t update until there is support from vfTuner and a tune written for it. Hope it’s a quick support from Mat.

Won't be during the month of October (as I'm sure you're likely aware). I'm not sure if Mat still needs a cuw to support calibration ID's, if so, he may not support it until the file is out in the wild.
