No mention on when the website updates to show 2022. I was told pricing could change but only by $100-$200 or something that was negligible.

the dealer has access to all pricing tools for the 2022 Tacoma though.

I was thinking 5 or 6 yr term.
Yeah they tweak the rates every few months it seems. It was 4.29 in April. Then dropped to 3.49. But upped price by $600 at same time.

For me personally i like the looks of it, my last car had bronze wheels as well i just love the look. I would like to just get a car and be happy with it for awhile and leave it as is. I've had a TERRIBLE year in car luck the last few years so having something nice would be refreshing. It was also the price factor as it was touted to be right around 40k but thats not the case.

Not having LED headlights was a huge con for me that i could overlook initially but now idk

With an OR i would just want to start tinkering with right off the bat. I'm at a huge crossroads currently and not really sure what direction i should go. Should i get the trail and just be happy even though its more than i want to pay, get an OR and settle or hold out for a couple more months and try to save up some more to get a PRO.

the way I see it, $3,000 over a trd off road, you can buy the bronze wheels and lift and have a nicer truck.

Talked to several dealers in NE, all have stated that whatever I order, will sell for well over MSRP. With that stated to me, I'll just wait. I have my current daily driver that will last for a while. I figure if we keep paying over MSRP, that will be the norm the dealers take advantage of.

By NE, do you mean New England? As Portsmouth Toyota had the smallest markup of 2K over MRSP when I shopped around. No fuss either at the dealership as I walked in with my configurator printed out and it was MRSP plus 2K.

Yes New England (MASS to be specific). I called the Southern Maine dealers, had one even try and lure me up there promising I wouldn't be disappointed. But other research showed they were tacking on $1000s over sticker.

I'll just wait it out, no rush here.

I'm from New Hampshire same stuff here, my closest dealer was $4500 markup over MRSP, I went there just to test drive and they wouldn't stop bothering me saying I could get a great deal!

The dealer in Anchorage was kind enough to offer a 3000 dollar discount on a new Tacoma and a 6 month wait. After looking at a SR5 because he had no higher trim to look at while shopping for a Sport, he said that he would extend the ability to buy one for 3000 over Msrp instead of the 6,000 over Msrp but only if I placed a deposit that day.

Sounds like a good deal he was cutting you! I told one dealer the other one was 2,500 dollars less then they said I would still get a good deal at theirs! Not sure how they works exactly but I kinda wanted to go in to see their ways.

If only, if only, we could have the simple 22re Diesel that came in the HILUX. Imagine getting 26+mpg city and having the torque to climb up a rick wall? (and who really needs to pass on the highway... really? :D)

... might just have to pay diesel toys a visit

If you look here this site shows a Trail at $1,000 under Off Road Premium and $2,000 over Off Road.

That's probably right, as adding a factory lift with warranty and the bronze wheels would cost closer to $5,000 from dealer unfortunately. Aftermarket is a different story.

Did they say how long a wait.

Would be $52k for me due to low 5% tax in AB :boink:

Love how some dealers are posting a "market price" and a "our price", which includes a $6k markup, but then discounted $3k.

Dealers should be as ballsy to post the invoice price and a our price.

I'd walk before I would pay over suggested retail. Price gouging as far as I am concerned.

Sucks for the people who need a new truck and are stuck paying crazy prices with little selection to choose from .
