Rando dealer flashes is how we found out about some of the ECU updates including what @Ruggybuggy originally found in this thread.

All that we know is that 04B05 came with a new physical ECU from Toyota. For now, that is my assumption for that 2018 also as we have been told that there is nothing in TIS yet.

Good news (for me) if it’s new ECU only. I’m content with my setup as is and I subscribe to the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” rule. 04A61 was broke and the right tune fixed it. Don’t need fixin’ again :D

We never know when things will go live though.

Compared to 04B33, 04B14, etc., 04B04 and 04A61 are broke. It is a pretty major upgrade to the latest calibration that everyone else now has.

If this update follows Toyota logic it will want to get my AT into the highest gear as soon as possible and I’ll need the tune to put it back where I like it. (where it should be :D)

That is the definition of AT. :notsure:

Yes, though. The latest Stock calibration is not thee solution. But, it 100% makes the tunes that much better.

It's your Taco though, and this is a thread about getting the latest and greatest out to the most possible folks. Non-stock tuning is a different monster.

They made an offer I can't refuse, so I bought it.

Here is the screen shot of the cal ID, I assume isn't not the most up to date version.

What do I need to tell the dealer to load up?

I have an extra condition of "update all software" written in my purchase contract with the dealer.
