As far as the work environment here, it's pretty good; Some people aren't going what I have to say, but here it goes...

One thing I relish at any job is a boss and/or upper management who don't metaphorically shit a metaphorical brick if you're a few minutes late!

This is one of the reasons I quit working at that damn detail shop!

Weekday shifts were not so bad, but every Saturday from 7:50am to 5pm was slowly but surely causing me to lose my mind!

Making it even worse was the fact that we were paid per vehicle instead of per hour; I was by no means an incompetent detailer, but I just wasn't as fast as some of the other guys. Making only $60-$100 for a 9-hour day was bullshit in my opinion, and I initially started working on my days off until that started to burn me out...

Initially, I was working like 3:30pm-9pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 7:50am-5pm on Saturdays; That's right, I was working the dreaded clopening shift every weekend!

If some asshole salesperson brought in a vehicle at 8:55pm we were often stuck there until 9:30pm, and driving home took about twenty minutes, so it was almost always close to 10pm if not after 10pm when I got home; Realistically, I should have gone right to bed, but that's not how I roll...

I would eat dinner, generally stay up until about midnight, and then go to bed; After less than a month of working there, I told my boss that I couldn't handle
working until 9pm on Friday and then coming back in less than 11 hours later. My suggestion was either that I work Monday through Wednesday, or
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (I forget) and accepted those terms without argument...

A short time later, the dealerships all started closing at 8pm on weekdays instead of 9pm, and I started coming in at 2pm; Still would have too little time for me to unwind before I going back into work, though...

I worked a few Fridays on my day off, but I would do two or three cars, clean up any messes that I made, and then leave well before closing.

I have discussed this on TW before, and older guys have said that I'm lazy or have a "typical millennial attitude"...

This simply is not the case! :luvya:

When I worked as a barback at Puck, I pulled 8-hour shifts on a fairly regular basis, sometimes 10-12 hour shifts, and one Thanksgiving Eve (I believe 2017) I worked 14 hours straight with only a small break! I also worked weekends without complaint; I made $10 an hour, and that was the key difference between Puck and the detail shop...

I GOT PAID TEN BUCKS AN HOUR REGARDLESS OF WHAT I WAS DOING!

It could be a busy night and I could be restocking stuff or going on a supply run, or it could be slow and I could just be sitting on my ass; Regardless, I always got paid and I also got 10% of the tips from the bartenders on busy nights, plus a free meal (anything on the menu) if I worked the dinnertime/evening shift!

This job at the Halloween store is like Puck in that respect; I get paid $10 per hour whether I'm walking the floor and assisting customers, or assembling overpriced animatronics! The whole commission/piece work thing just doesn't work for me...

I was gonna splattered some of this stuff on my truck but was a bit weary of what it might do to the paint so I nixed the idea...

I requisitioned a neck and chain and the last set of stick-on bloody feet we had in stock; 30% off!

I'm just curious, because there's no way in hell my truck is worth what it costs to replace the frame, even in the midst of this chip shortage!

Call me crazy, but I like the idea of buying parts from totaled Tacos and putting them on my truck to give it the appearance of having spent years on the front lines of a post-apocalyptic zombie wasteland, and then obviously the parts get swapped back out for the good ones once Halloween is over...

Obviously, a major studio with a near limitless budget has the means to destroy a brand new supercar, but even if I were obscenely wealthy I would not purposely destroy my truck; Also, the reality of it is that I am not obscenely wealthy and the Taco is my daily driver so I can't trash it...

The hood and front right fender on this TRD Sport would look great on my truck if I were going for a realistic "This truck has been to hell and back multiple times" look!

The right front fender of this truck would also be useable...

Definitely the hood and left front fender on this truck; I could really give my truck the appearance of having rammed through a horde of zombies at 50+ MPH...
