I have parts on the way but I’m planning to run wires up through the factory work light slots. Interested to see what everyone has done. I’m trying to avoid opening up another hole in the composite bed but may have to eventually.

Anyone had one mounted through a winter , especially somewhere that uses salt or calcium on the roads? Wondering how long term durability is as it’s a lower grade of stainless.

There’s one for sale local and I’m going back and forth on it. Is it really worth $3,500-$4,000??

It’s worth it. I’ve had fiberglass toppers and a softopper and the RSI is by far the best. Softoppers are my favorite though if you don’t weatherproofing or security.

I’d say anything not new is not full price but like new probably a couple hundred off full price would still be a deal- so 33-34. Keep in mind too your not paying shipping either (which really shouldn’t be calculated in the full price either) so technically you’d save more then a couple hundred

    my opinion

Prices will probably go up in the next 6 months especially if they are going to drop money on building a new manufacturing facility in Texas. If anything you want is made out of steel, buy it sooner than later if you can afford it and want to save money.

Thats full price shipping and taxes

he made a regrettable purchase and expects a wash. I’ve always thought to be prepared to take a small hit if I did that. Once off the shelf no matter how long it’s not new… so can’t sell as new.

edit: the only benefit to you is no wait but there are in stock available

My thoughts exactly. And he’s selling the truck too so maybe just rash decision plus waiting time equated in only having the shell for a month. So 3,300 is fair to offer?

Yeah I ended up losing $500 on my like new leer shell. It’s one thing to expect a certain price but people willing to pay it is another story

Anything under 35 would be acceptable to me both buyer/seller (but I’m a different breed that still thinks logically ). That would save you shipping and tax at least and make it worth it IMO. Anything more just buy new and wait a week or so
