Sounds like they switched the queue system to favor those who haven't gotten a card yet, then got flack for it, and are switching it back. By the way it was worded it sounds like those that were in might be getting an email fairly soon..

I'm still in their queue for two different 3060Ti's. We'll see what happens there.

got a prebuilt with a 1660ti and a 9700F right now looking to build something with a base 3080 (FE if I can find one new) and a Ryzen 5000 series (still undecided) once the SAS is done

 

May as well wait anyway. Intel is going to drop Alder Lake soon which could be a game changer.

 

Absolutely grab it, my brother has the Rift S, I've had a ton of fun using it when he lends me it. I think VR is not worth buying a $1000 Valve Index but for a hundred bucks you can easily get your money out of it and have a lot of fun.

For games I would recommend Beat Saber, the best VR game if you like music this is almost like guitar hero on steroids, Blade and Sorcery (Awesome star wars mods for this one and fun swordfighting/gunplay), and Pavlov.

 

Yeah in no rush. Was trying to score a 3080 for a few months to upgrade mine but decided to wait it out and focus on the SAS instead. Maybe the 4000 series will be awesome as well gonna wait and see

 

alder lake, ill see it when i believe it, intel seems to like to shoot them selves in the foot when it comes to consumer cpus.

AMD has been pretty steady on announcing Sept or so then releasing end of oct. Plus or minus a tiny bit

 

Zen 4 is delayed a bit, something about a major change to the build as it drops to a 5 nm node. Rumor is AMD is also trying to grab a 40% uplift with a new socket, node, design, and DDR5. If that's all true the delay makes a ton of sense.

 

Yup it'll be interesting exactly how much they try to cram into the Zen4 vs wait with some for Zen5

 

I've been under the impression I've been in the queue for a 3060ti for like 2 months now only to find out with that announcement I never have been. So if you end up getting an extra ticket, if you don't have it promised to anyone else keep me in mind.

When I got my 3060, I had entered that queue early February and was notified in July, but I'm guessing demand wasn't as great for plain ol 3060s.

I'll keep you in mind if my ticket gets called

 

Surprisingly my 1080 founders edition is doing well in BF 2042 on high settings.
Are there any cards out that will dominate the 1080 that are easily avail?

 

No cards in general available, especially as you would only be looking at the RTX 2000s and 3000s. Could put yourself on the waiting list for a card like a few posters have here especially as you're fine right now.

 

Damn. The 1080 is really doing pretty good. Way better than I expected by idk if they even upgraded anything. This looks the same as BF4
