I'm also using the Caliraised CB extension, definitely had to grind/sandpaper off some powdercoat around the holes where it bolts to my ditch light bracket to make sure I was getting a good ground. I'm assuming your antenna type will require similar? I'm running a 3' CB whip antenna so maybe not the same? Using my multi-tester to confirm a good ground circuit definitely helped.

I got pretty decent at making my own cables when I did the aux fuse panel, I'll likely make a grounding wire.

Unrelated, I guess I need to find some cav blue touch up paint. Got a spot on one of my doors, probably from an SUV door.

Oh, and my dad says he has an SWR meter, so I'm set there.

thank you for helping with the tires.

Thats probably what I'll do. mild all-terrian makes alot of sense. Having two sets of tires, would have been too much. But getting mud tires would have been a waste for me. Since I'll do driving on road most of the time.

Another for the list... I freakin loved my Hankook DynaPro ATm's when I had them. Same tread pattern as those ATP's you posed. Gripped extremely well offroad in most conditions and had great on-road manners. They were cheap and light, too. Less than 40lbs per tire. I think I got a full set of 265/75-16 for like $450 shipped during a discount tire sale years ago.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Thanks again brutha! Much needed upgrade.

Craig was kind enough to sell me his Morimoto XB LED headlights. I couldn’t see shit without my fogs on.

I hear ya. These old halogens aren’t the best. I’m kinda of the OEM LED or bust mentality, but I have zero aspirations to spend nearly $1500 on headlights.

I will take some pics this evening. Craig upgraded to the Amber DRLs, I just wanted to be able to see…this is huge for me, cause I see deer all over my road at night.

The new GTR lighting assemblies are almost identical to the OEM led’s and are about half the cost. If it’s the look you’re going for.

    https://www.gtrlighting.com/Carbide-LED-Headlights-2016-Toyota-Tacoma?quantity=1

this is a direct link but I’ve seen them for less from other retailers.

Yes, I could have gone this route, but we would have missed out on blowing all my fuses! Lol
And my lights do a cool blinky thing!

I am about to commit to putting labels on my Spod Buttons. Icons vs Words.

Or a mix because there aren’t enough icons to make that work… strangely enough there are enough Words to make it work.

    Thoughts?

Up until now I am sorting guessing…funny when you go to put your rock lights on and you blind a truck load of your buddies in a trail with your light bar.

Funny thing is somehow after I left your spot I tried to avoid traffic using Cobb dr, but then I saw that place ORW.

I stopped by and ending up buying a ProEagle Jack, BOLT Key Hitch lock, and a 2nd fire extinguisher cause one ain’t enough ;)
