It’s a sport so those are more expensive than the adventure (which I was basing prices in my head off of) also I don’t think the sport is available like the adventure is so that changes as well. If you have to have side windows is your determining factor. If absolutely then anything less than 37 if in immaculate condition but shoot for less. If you don’t care for windows but will take it ask 35. Otherwise buy new adventure

My 3rd brake light cable must not be working. When I try to tap into the brake light I lose power to the light itself and the 3rd brake light doesn’t have power..

bummer. Buyer beware I guess with used things. At least the cap is in perfect shape

I think I know what you’re talking about. When they come out of the harness plugs they can’t cross? I’ll take pics to clarify

Looking at this harness everything seems to check out. I’ll have to check out the cap itself later tonight after work

Oh good to know! What’s involved in swapping the pins? Was there a certain connector for you or the whole thing?

Search both threads for old posts regarding details on the pins. This was an issue with early production harness and many fixed it by swapping the pins around.

You can’t or I can’t look at just the backs to see the right pin. Act like you are plugging them in as normal and look at the rear for I believe it’s the blue wire then trace that wire/terminal in the plug and it should match in the mating connector red wire/terminal location. Its hard for me to explain but not hard to fix. Pull out the white plastic in the connector and a small flat head goes down to releases the tab and then you pull the wire from the back

Someone sent me a link for reference, let me find it

post 87 I think it was. Different connector same process https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...version-harnesses.720866/page-5#post-26069189

One side of the harness had the neg and positive on the wrong side. If you look at each side and the plugs it's supposed to go into you should be able to figure out which one was wrong. I ended up going to the toyota dealer and a service tech knew how to remove the pins and reinsert them quickly. They did it no charge and it worked once done.

first make sure the wires/pins are matching- trace wire to pin from 1 connector to the mating pin from the second connector and make sure that pin is the same wire
    Example
    839DAA79-F0E0-4BE8-B10D-DF3E1A9010F0.jpg

If they are in wrong locations the white plastic comes out first (pliers pull straight up, small flat and pry up)

    C3034BFD-69D4-40F2-A046-DDCF455D4BE1.jpg

Then small flat wedge between pin and plastic “lock” tab while pulling wire out from backside
