Not in the budget, plus I think I'd have to buy the whole damn truck and then pay to get it shipped to Pennsylvania...

All you will hear on the internet is people guessing as to what it cost. You will never know the true figure. It's kind of like "Dealer Invoice" being what a dealer actually pays for a vehicle. Nope.

Ask a technician, advisor, or parts what list price on the frame is and they'll tell you.

List price is not what it costs Toyota or the dealership.

Just had my frame replaced on my 09 Dolby and was told it was about 12,000$ They also covered cost to replace all my brake lines upper controls arms with new ball joints gas tank strap Mabey some fuel lines and a rotten bumper bracket. Then I got t boned about 2 weeks later. Just my luck. Insurance is fixing it including new to me rear axl , box side, rim and leaf springs but I paid extra and got OME springs and hoping to get truck back this week.

I'd imagine that the owner would be on the hook for getting it to the nearest Toyota dealership. I'm pretty sure that was the case for a friend that lived in Kodiak. Personally, I wouldn't buy a Toyota in Alaska, I'd buy one in the mainland and either drive it or ship it via TOTE. At the time that I worked up there, TOTE was the only ocean shipping company that shipped vehicles inside the ship. Horizon (now Matson) shipped on deck in open container car racks. Nothing like a nice saltwater bath on your brand new vehicle, especially in the winter. At the time I worked with TOTE, we carried new VW, Chevy, Mazda, Ford and GM vehicles.

As for getting a Tacoma to Utqiaqvik, that's most likely going on the deck of a Crowley fuel barge. The barges are designed for fuel delivery and for carrying general cargo to the towns that they visit, most of which are not on the road network but are near a coastline or river bank. If you go to Google Maps and search Utqiaqvik, go to satellite view, find the coastline at the west end of the airport runway, then follow the coast to the southwest you can actually see a fuel barge with deck cargo being pushed against the beach.

I would think who ever makes the frame is probably eating some of the cost as well.

My truck uses oil; It was using it at a rate of about a quart every 3,500 miles until I switched to 10W30 high mileage formula. I added a tiny amount of oil last month, and when I popped the hood this morning to do a routine check, this is what I found...

My truck is obviously not leaking oil, otherwise there'd be some pretty obvious clues in my driveway; It runs great, doesn't overheat, and has no warning lights on...

It's obviously burning a small amount of oil, but there's no sludge on the exhaust pipe and certainly not the telltale cloud of white smoke. I am utterly dumbfounded as to what's happening here.

Seems to me you somehow have small amounts of oil leaking into the combustion chamber. Any kind of bluish tinge to your exhaust? Have you checked your plugs to see if there’s oil on them?

Edit: I wasn’t prepared for the emotionally jarring juxtaposition of your dipstick with the blooded zombie hand. Now I’m awake.

Is that cold? You didn’t idle the engine before you checked the oil?

If you don’t have a pool of oil under your truck or leaked out all over the engine then it’s burning up somewhere, it’s not going to just disappear.

Minuscule white smoke on startup when it's cold and/or humid, but it dissipates when the engine warms up; No bluish tinge...

Spark plugs have only been changed once, about 40K miles ago, and my mechanic did it; I had never changed spark plugs before as this is my first and so far only vehicle. I cannot even comprehend how to access the spark plugs right now because I'm a bit pissed...

Someone told me one of the best times to check the oil is after the truck has been sitting on a level surface overnight...

Take it easy, top off the oil when you can, and check the plugs when you have some time to work on it. Super easy, lots of videos on here.

Edit: might as well change the plugs while you’re in there.
