Got these relentless mounts to get rid of the bungee holddown. Need to drill 2 holes in the lower lip that will screw into the wood and then the case will be drilled into the wood

Made some marks and plans for hoist and pulley location/run (has changed location from previous mentions). New location will allow me to operate remote and guide cap away from rear window of cab and also mounted on an exterior wall rather than the pedestrian door to the house.

This is as far backed up as I can go into the garage (see how much I’m sticking out the front). It’s just enough to raise the cap straight up clearing the garage (I do have a high lift which shortened the horizontal tracks overall length).

light will have to be removed/relocated (already moved it once prior to thinking of a hoist- why you see blue tape covering holes till I patched)
    F64192BC-21DB-4C22-AD2A-2C52BD1A6A69.jpg
it took a lot of work and planning to get the garage setup to even get this amount of space.

I have about 5% left of crap behind me to find a home or toss and a few unfinished projects taking up valuable side space.

Spent a good Chunk of the day going back and forth between stores trying to find everything. Still need some more lags, eye bolts, a 2x10 and unistrut.

It’s a stock sport hood… the camera angle makes it look different I guess.

build thread for the truck or hoist? I guess it doesn’t matter which one because I have non for either  I’m winging it… for both truck and hoist lmao. You know, fake it till you make it

Oh that’s the avs hood deflector. It looks like how you’d see a dogs snout up against a camera.

Man, that's tight. After you are backed in, do you have to go through the house to get to the back of the truck? Regardless, I'm stoked to see the final result.

Buck Lumber is still open on the 419, close to Soldiers Creek Park. Small but Legit lumber yard.

Anyone have any issues with the car alarm going off? Mine has gone off twice in under an hour and idk why. No security system/theft deterrent system on the truck

The truck was unlocked the second time it happened. I’ve never seen something like this happen

What I look for in reviews are common problems that a lot of people are having. They're the most like to be legit. And yea, you'll find the operator error / stupid buyers in the one star ratings too.

Remote in pocket - maybe button pushed by coin or other object.
Fob playing by kids or wife.
Haunting by the old Asheboro ghost.
Mine would go off while watching tv, rotating tires, sitting down with laptop, carrying clothes to laundry room. Usually it was due to having too much stuff in my pocket with the fob.

Its probably an issue with the fob... at this point I'm surprised it still works. Im a 19 year old college student so children is the last thing I need rn

Installed CatSecurity purchased from mid-Atlantic off road. I’ve been a victim of catalytic converter theft on one of my cars recently, now I’m getting into preventative measures, I’ve also ordered a dual dash cam. Pics of tht will be soon
