This is what I was talking about.
    20211008_180639.jpg
I yanked the rest of the weed that you see out. Still though, looks like shit. The metal stuff on the left side is what I was talking about hammering down, it has a definite gap from the foundation.

Did a selfie cam up under the door frame too.
    20211008_180721.jpg

I get that it's an exterior door frame from the garage, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the construction since it butts up to an "interior" wall too.

The bond is complete, the runner has drawn blood.

Installing some behind the grille lights and I slipped with the wrench and smacked myself on that (relatively) thin sheet metal stamping that holds up the front bumper structure.

Funny how it seems like there's so much room behind the grille of the Tacoma and the T4R until you have to try mounting some Baja LP4's in there...:spy:

So I did my first real, massive interior detail Friday. A 2017 Chrysler Pacifica that hauls around 3 kids and a dog. Took me 10 hours just to vacuum, shampoo the front area, passenger area, floors mats and clean all the door panels, seats, and plastics. I'm so glad I spent the money on the garage AC, my shop vac, and Bissell Spot Clean pro. Totally underestimated the sheer size of a minivan. Was fun getting this thing back to cleaner than when they bought it. Got 5 of these muddy pours out of the carpets.

I don’t understand people that let there vehicles get that destroyed to begin with, my two kids are in the van a ton, and it’s not even 5% of the dirt and grim in those photos after 3 years of use.

Snow and dirt etc are one thing but the amount of debris and food is another, I know when my kids drop something, someone picks it up and cleans it or tosses it eventually, not leaves it there to live it’s new life as floor food.

    It's a rite of passage!

Also jeez that Pacifica is clean as hell! You did an awesome job. Got me thinking maybe I should take my runner to you. See about doing what you can about the pinstripes and then giving it a proper clay bar and wax... ain't gonna remove them entirely but I can at least get a start on proper paint protection.

This was under the back two seats and every time I folded and unfolded them they dropped more stored crumbs and goldfish out. My kid doesn't get to eat like this in either one of our vehicles. I found pudding under one of the floor pieces all stuck under it and the trim. The trunk cargo area was full as well. Detailing this thing was like detailing the inside of two and a half cars.

Yeah I've softened my stance on it recently, sometimes you just gotta eat and the car is the most convenient place. Also bringing food home from a carryout place has probably led to more spills than actually eating. I've spilled lemonade and fries in the runner, but both instances it was held by an all weather mat or a little cupholder liner thingy.

Kids though, are masterful about getting goldfish and raisins everywhere. It's like a universal kid thing. I swear you could probably find goldfish in the headliner after a kid has had a bag of them in the car. And raisins... if you have ever given any child raisins at any point in your life there are at least 20 of them ground into the pile of your carpet right now.

I'd spray and saturate that area where the weeds got in with "total vegetation kill" type spray, let it dry for a couple days then use expanding foam to fill that void... As for bugs getting in, hate to tell you this, but they are already in if your house was never sealed after construction... Just get a monthly bug service and call it good. I've got a guy i've been using for the last 15 years for both of my house and rarely do I see any bugs. All except for the start of monsoon I always get a trail of ants that get into the house, no matter how much the bug guy sprays (or puts down traps) before/during monsoon starts...

Well that was way less of a saga than the last time I did this.:D Pretty much everything I removed rained down crusted up Sedona mud onto me, but all in all it was pretty easy.

Gotta figure out a good wiring harness though, turns out I am out of the right gauge for the higher wattage wires.

Yeah I know the bugs are already in & I do have that pre-built shit where a pest control guy can spray inside the walls, I just don't want a conga line of them. Wouldn't have thought of the expanding foam, thanks!
