Wheel poke question

My shop is ordering a 17x8.5 fuel vector with -12 offset and believe bs is 4.5. Tires will be 285/70/17. I requested the tires to stick out no more than 1/2" to give a slight aggressive look but no further. Does this sound correct or should it be a -6mm offset? I appreciate it and yes I first looked on the vector thread but didn't find much in my wheel size.

I've got basically the same specs except -10 offset. These are the only pics I got right now but I think it's about perfect

That looks WAY more than 1/2” to me.

My 7.5” +10 wheels I feel stuck out about a half inch with 265 tires.

 

Here are mine to give you and idea. You have another half inch of backspacing and wheel so you’ll be sticking out more than me. Apologies for not matching completely, hoping I can help.

Thats a good look. I might look at -6mm offset with the 4.5 backspacing. Im kinda worried -12mm might stick out a tad further than I want. -12mm looks good but want to avoid tickets where I live and kicking to many rocks on paint.

 

Did you ever make a decision on the offset? Do you have your wheels yet?
