I merely repeated the 100 year stat from the other guys post. i dont care hw long the ice core sample is. it does not give you a global temperature reading at all let alone to a tenth of a degree! that was my point if you would have read clearly.

I thought this thread was about warming up your car in winter not about whether or not global climate change is fact or fiction.

That was the point of the thread which you might have noticed if you read clearly .

You must not have been here for the whole thread...if you read it you will see what it was actually about. it was a message about warming up your car yes but more important was the fact that all the info and data was from biased sources which makes all the data pretty much untrustworthy. the reasoning behind not warming up your vehicle is what we are talking about now. not everyone but some of us.it was commented on and there are a few of us who have been talking about those points. read the whole thread.

Then you would know exactly where the frame of reference was in relation to my remarks... Why on page 11 do you feel the need to dig at me about ice cores being older than 100 years? i never even said that, someone else did.

if you had read my post clearly you would know that the length of time was of no concern...it was the fact that you cant get a GLOBAL TEMP READING from those ice cores to compare our current temps to... especially to the tenth of degree.

this was my reply to you.

unless you have something else to say about that post then leave it alone. everyone was civilized till you started this crap.

warming up your vehicle to save the earth, whether you believe its crap or a valid point, is what this thread is about.. maybe you should pay attention.

I personally think it is just another load of "green" crap being fed to us. I warm my truck up daily throughout the winter. no need to do so any other time.

You know the facts are not adding up for the global warming folks when the scientists start manipulating the data and lying about it as we saw last year in the big scandal.

One more thing that drives this whole global warming phenomenon is that there is a whole segment of scientists and other people who make a living off of it. The scientists get big grants from the govt to keep researching this stuff. If the evidence starts pointing to the problem not really being a problem then the funding goes away and the scientists have to find another type of work. Funny how money drives everything.

They don't have the evidence to prove it. No one knows what normal temps are. We very well could still be coming out of the little ice age and still warming up. So lets not kill our country's economy to stop something that can't be proven to exist, especially when other countries can do what they want and will catch us and pass us economically. It is ridiculous that we wont let certain things be produced (energy for one) here in the US because making them pollutes, so we get it from the other side of the earth and pollute more by shipping it over here. Oh but we all feel better because we don't see it made and see the pollution.

Definitely not the best thing to do when it's really cold out. It's better for your car if your oil is up to temperature or at least close to it before you put a load on the engine. The colder it is, the more important it becomes.

Who is trying to destroy manufacturing in this country? Name them please.

Although China is increasing production compared to the U.S., we still manufacture MORE than china. 'The value of goods produced by China's factories reached about $1.6 trillion last year, compared to $1.7 trillion by U.S. manufacturers.' Source: CNN, 2010.

You have not cited a single fact to support your opinion about global warming, nothing to counter the fact that the overwhelming scientific opinion holds that man made pollution contributes to climate warming to some degree.

Does he really need to? It's all over the place now. You are behind the times. Most people are starting to wake up and realize that there was never any evidence to support global warming in the first place. It was all a scam. Just google "climagate"

What it all boils down it is that the liars are saying CO2 is bad and that man-made CO2 is causing the earth to heat up. Nothing in that sentence is true. CO2 is not bad in any way, the earth may or may not be heating up. (it has gone through hot and cold cycles since the beginning of time) And man made CO2 doesn't do shit. PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP!

Again, no facts. Just the ranting of the Sarah Palin thinking know nothings who want to stick their heads in the sand so they don't have to consider whether they should change their behavior or learn anything new.

This attitude is pathetic, anti science, and pro propaganda.

I ask for scientific data, for facts, and your response is 'Does he really need to [cite facts]? Of course not. In your 'Sarah Palin-Glenn Beck think' facts do not matter. In your world the only thing that matters is your preconceived prejudice.

AHAHAHAHA... We produce more than china? LOL... yeah maybe more dollars. They produce way more than us.. we only charge higher prices for our goods. That is why you can find chinese shit every where cause they they have low low prices. Go to the store and see how many thing you can find made in America. Most are made in china They artificially keep their currency low for this reason. as for who is destroying manufacturing in the U.S. Click here..... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=destroying+U.S.+Manufacturing :D
