    Good grief.......stop manufacturing problems.

Add some oil, monitor the consumption.

Let Toyota do their work for the frame replacement. In reality, you don't need to know the step by step procedure. Your frame is not the first one they have replaced.

    Wohhhh…..,

Some of you guys would be upset if you seen my engine bay. The only “clean” spots are air box clips, and oil filter.

If it ain’t broke, I ain’t messing with it.

I’ve fixed a few thing until they were broke. And I didn’t learn my lesson the first time. :D

I’m currently working on not letting it happen again:thumbsup:

The biggest thing I'm taking away from this is that I get to hold onto my truck for at least another decade and save up for a house, instead of blowing my money on a new truck in this post-pandemic, hyper-inflated world we currently live in!

I think part of this is that my family has never put this many miles on a vehicle before, and I'm experienced age-related things with my truck that my parents never experienced with their vehicles because they never put this many miles on them; My truck has also developed some other age-related issues that no other vehicle my parents have owned has had, including...

    • The driver's door can be unlocked from the outside but not locked.
    • The spare tire crank thingy rusted solid and had to be replaced.
    • There is a hole worn in the carpet on the driver's side.
    • I've had been through probably three HVAC blower motors since 2012, all of which developed an obnoxious noise; The first one was replaced by the dealer under warranty.
    • The evaporator core developed a leak sometime between September 2016 and June 2017, and eventually had to be replaced.
    • One of my OEM keys recently wouldn't start the truck, likely due to wear.
    • The little red sticker on the driver's side lock button came off.
    • One of the HVAC control dials recently cracked and had to be replaced.

The evaporator core was a shocker, even to the dealer; We were expecting a hole in the condenser or a hose fitting that was letting refrigerant escape...

Those are small potatoes for an older vehicle, nothing outside of the norm I'd say. Vehicles are mechanical and everything mechanical will eventually wear out or break, even with the best of maintenance. Tony may disagree though.

For some reason this reminds me of a car I had that the turn signals refused to flash. Yes replaced flasher motor and bulbs. I had to resort to pushing the lever up and down to simulate flashing. Ended up being bad grounds on both front lights.

    I agree.
If it doesn’t break, it doesn’t exist.

The only thing I’ve found that helps.
Is to not own it, or “deny the breakage exist” and carry on.
Both of which aren’t always an option. But are options I’ve chosen in the past:D

I have tools and a creeper and a neighbor with a lift. He helps with my brakes and and will help with my fog lights I’m long overdue to install. I feel like I could ask him and he wouldn’t care but next time it will be in my driveway or on his lift

Looking at the pics in post 17, it's looking like you're gonna be needing a brake job in the near(very) future.

Ok I'll bite. What am I missing? Low brake fluid level in the master cylinder?

Yeah, seriously; Those are pictures of the engine...

The brakes are practically new and the brake fluid was flushed and replaced; I really have no idea what you're talking about...?

Why is it that whenever I post a thread, it turns into a roast? It's kinda starting to piss me off...
