Decided to work on the lighting situation in the garage today. The old 48" strip lights had served their purpose, even with LED bulbs. Been up there since November '18. The cheap ballast have outlived their lifespan and I was looking for a quick fix. Stopped by the ol' Harbor Freight and got me four 5K lumen shop lights. Cut off the plugs and hard wired them in to save on the budget. For a total of under $80 I'm pretty impressed. Will they last a while, probably not, but will last this winter!








Gonna rework the old strip lights with some direct wire LED bulbs, but have to stop by an electrical supply to see if they have them as the big box stores do not. Gonna put them close to the work bench in the middle on their own switch. I got enough scrap wire to get that done and not break the budget.

 

I've considered just dropping the oil pan and doing a bearing slap, but I think the better part of valor is to just pull it out and do the engine build.

 

Flight park party was awesome, didnt get home til 1am. Hubby and I dont drink but going to bed that late we both woke up feeling hung over.

My buddy has all the lighting in his garage and works lights from the Hobo Freight. No issues.
