I made them since no one makes ones for sr grilles. Bought two amber marker lights from autozone, wired up myself, bought a custom adapter to attach to the low beam bulb and that was it. I did all the wiring for all the additional lights myself, all properly grounded and fuses added too.

Ok cool. So you got power from the low beams? I’d like to power them up with the parking lights.

Yeah from the low beam. They seem to be useful only at night anyways.

Still a work in progress. Just wheels, tires, running boards and Softopper so far. Love the SR.

My sons 2020 was. Still need to buy a stalk (or switch of your choosing), the foglight assemblies, the bezels, the 2 screws that hold the assemblies, and the harness.

UPDATE... ok so I had time to do some inspection. I pulled all 4 wheels off..... the same 4 wheels that I had the dealership balance a week or 2 ago. Cleaned off all the brake dust... guess what... they never removed the original weights. They stuck weights on top of existing weights. Now my vibrations are in the front and very mild at 65mph. They also busted the grey plastic drain plug on the bottom frame which I have to replace and is important being as I had 2 frame replacements on 2 different tacomas.

Since 2002 I have owned Toyota vehicles. 4 of which have been tacomas. And since 2002 I have never taken any of those vehicles to the dealership for service and not had them screw something up. My Toyota care is up now so that's good. I'll pull all the maintenance on my own from this point forward. I had high Hope's of the new service department I went to, but same story over there. Toyota cares ---- but not about your truck.

I'll drive it like this for the next 8000 miles or so (unless it bugs me enough). At that point I'll remove 2 wheels at a time, strip the weights, clean the dust, and take em to my local shop to have them balanced properly.

Good news is that it seems to be balancing and not something that requires the same idiots that broke parts on my rig and couldn't properly balance a tire to tear it apart and replace parts like the driveshaft or rear.

    Rant over.

Added 1” Toytec body lift yesterday, wanted a little more room, considering 295/75/16’s.

Thanks! These are stock 265/70/16 Cooper discoverer rugged trek. I stuck with the trd off-road stock size because I was worried about that.

Anyone buy a extended warranty on their SR before the factory warranty ran out? My factory warranty expires next Monday, 10/18. Really don't have the money to buy a plan but was thinking about adding the Mechanical Breakdown Insurance to my Geico policy. Yeah I know I am past the requirements on obtaining it but I have already spoken to them 6 months ago and they said since my truck has way below the minimum 15,000 miles I could still sign up.

May just go without and if she breaks down borrow the money from the bank to get it fixed.

I've been considering it just for electronics, the 10 year platinum warranty can be had for around $1400 if I remember correctly.

Was just talking to a buddy at the local car wash that traded his Tacoma off 3 years ago and bought a new Tundy 2 weeks before I bought my Tacoma. He said he had owned Toyota's all his life and never bought a extended warranty. He assured me my truck would not cause me any problems with what few miles I drive. Told me he would just keep the oil & filter changed once a year and drive it. If it does break down I'll just tell the dealership to fix it and borrow the money from the bank to pay for repairs. I'm not going to worry about a extended warranty.
