What are you running now? I have these and love them and am curious what you replaced them with.

Anyone own a Forester or know someone with one?

I've got weathertech floor mats and their amazing techshade, but no car to put them in...

    ~$250 new, asking $100 -- pics available.

Also have a set of Yakima cross bars/bases that fit a Forester. Willing to sell for a decent price (would have to look up msrp to getchu a number.)

Have you driven them in winter rain/snow? I had a set of these and I found them to be horrific in the winter although they did last forever. (65k) Replaced them with Toyo AT2 which are vastly superior pretty much everywhere except mud.

I’ve driven them in the rain a lot and the snow some, but almost all the snow driving was off road and I was either aired down or chained up. I see more companies are making the 255/80/17 and I am considering trying something different. I moved from the west side to the eastern part of the state and snow is a bigger concern here so we’ll see how this winter goes.

Yes, same but thicc. I love the St Maxx. Rain. Dry. Snow. Never a problem. A bit loud, but otherwise excellent

if the Goodyear ultra terrains come up in a size you want I highly recommend them. These work amazing in wet conditions on and off-road because of the siping

Any particular reason you went Ultra Terrain over Duratracs?

What I read was the ultra terrains were quieter, which they are. Quieter than the OE tires on my wifes 21 venza. This hybrid category seems to be growing amongst tire companies as consumers want something between all terrain and mud

Maybe we have different standards. I grew up in Colorado so no stranger to snow driving. They didn't hydroplane but would slip at every given chance in the wet TC light flashin. Heading up the the mountain to snowboard was a white knuckle experience every time. I even considered getting them studded when I went up to Whistler. I would get them again but for a summer set only, like I said they were great everywhere else. 285/75/16 btw.

If you're talking to people from the west side of the mountains, you definitely have different standards. We don't get enough low land snow here to justify great snow tires (Blizzacs). No matter what tires I've had, the best solution for snow around here is going slow or staying home...

Yeah, my new Duratracs are definitely noisier. Was just curious after discount accidentally mounted one side of my truck with Ultra Terrains (that I didn't purchase) and the other side with Duratracs, lol. The Ultras are definitely less aggressive/knobby, but still looked like a decent tire. I will say they are shorter in the same 265/75r16 size than the Duratracs, if that matters to anyone. Duratracs rub, the Ultras didn't, lol!

If you're checking out Ultras or Duratracs, I highly recommend looking into Cooper Rugged Treks. They're "similar" to the Duratracs, but seem to address a lot of the concerns people have with them (loud, sidewall, wear).

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cooper-discoverer-rugged-trek.718494/

I haven't had mine in snow yet, but so far, they've performed awesome in the wet and on trails.

I am also no stranger to snow, you're describing what KO2s felt like to me. Maybe the extra weight I've got on the truck makes all the difference

    :( they don't have my size :(

also don't have the snowflake/mountain symbol.

Otherwise, looks great. I voted for Knife on your poll... but they both look good.
