After 4 sets of seats I finally found what I like.
My current was corbeau baja xrs. Seats were short for my back. They were 35" heigh. Repalced it with Trailcat taller seats and less wider bottom cushion. Perfect fit and what I wanted. No side bolstering on bottom cushion but very wide side bolstering onthe back. Very very comfirtable and fits great into a first gen tacoma.
I just have to say is an amazing seat company. They have gone above and beyond to make me happy. I did pay for shipping for 2nd and 3rd set but using their shipping corporate label. So it was not all that expensive. If you ever decide to get seats for any of your rides go with this brand. Their customer service is amazing! First image side by side drivers side is the seat
being replaced (XRS) Passenger side is the new seat (TrailCat)

    Here are both seats installed

Here are another set of Corbeau seats I tried before all this and did not like

Trying to address some driveline vibes I'm getting mostly in reverse, but in 1st gear occasionally as well. Got a new Spicer carrier bearing I'm planning to install this week, just need to pick up a stake nut from the dealer. If that doesn't help I'll probably throw some axle shims at it. I also took this video of the transmission mount play. Does this seem excessive or normal?

Curious, but how tall are you? I really want new seats but am on the tall side and would like my position to be a touch higher in the process.

After finally getting my bumper/winch, 33s, and sliders on took it out wheeling with my brother and a friend. Now looking for budget friendly high clearance rear bumpers

Looks acceptable to me. You really need to pull the shaft to inspect it properly. I recently got mine balanced for $60.

I don't own any YET, but coastal offroad DIY kits I what I'll be getting. Their rear bumper is very slick. IMO

That’s mainly what I’ve been looking at. So far it’s the one that seems to provide most clearance and looks the best. But at 800 or so shipped with no swing outs is difficult to swallow lol. Front bumper cost me less and it came in built. End of the day I think the coastal one is what I’ll end up with.

My thought is to get the swingout later on. I personally don't need it now.

800 is cheap as shit for a rear wrap around bumper.

What mr. 35s didn't want to go down the big ledge? :worthless:

well they lasted this long haha but was inevitable. Could be worse though. Doesn't look like it's tearing the frame with it so that's good.

Like monte said, I'm just glad to see nothing tearing at the frame. Should be easy to buzz back after some cleaning.

Well, tomorrow is the day I attempt axle housing repair. Or at least, that's the plan as of today.

    Axle housing.

Patches prepped. 1/8" wall instead of the 3/16" I would have preferred, but will be fine for a little while, I think.

    upload_2021-10-11_17-0-23.jpg

Oil out. Wasn't too dirty after the last ~35K miles. Will let it drain overnight and tip the rear end to drain the passenger side well before real work begins.

    upload_2021-10-11_17-1-44.jpg

And thanks Zane @Speedytech7 for the TWParentExpress on the leaf perches.

You're welcome, good luck. Don't catch the inside of the housing on fire haha
