First gens after 1999 or 2000 didn't have them

I just noticed there's no vins etched on my 04 tundras windows... Kinda sad to see the cool Japanese obsession for details slowly went away sometime in the early 2000s presumably because of bean counters

My '98 windows have the VIN. Some junkyard spares I picked up from a later model (2001 I think; 01-04 facelift anyway) don't.

I wish my windows didn't have it. My plan was to swap the glass to get rid of my too-dark tint and then sell the tinted glass. It's a quality tint, I just don't like how hard it is to see at night.

I noticed the VIN after picking up the new glass and now I don't want to sell the originals. I don't want somebody else driving around with my VIN.

I scratched up my driver window on the 04 because we had some terrible dust storms while I was moving into my storage unit earlier this year. Had to keep rolling up and down the window for the gate. Try telling your helpers in the heat that you need to stop and clean your window lol.

Need to figure out how to polish them out or replace with a clean non-vin etched panel.

The glass isn't hard to pull if you can find it in a yard.

I'd sell my VIN-free junkyard set if you're ever in the area or can find someone to TW Express. I don't think I'm brave enough to ship glass, and it probably wouldn't be worth the expense anyway.

Huh? The vin-etched and non-vin-etched glass are different thickness?

I hate that feeling of dread after waking up late. Did it mess up your day?

“Man, it sure is bright out this morning….uhoh”

I was 8 minutes late to a meeting that I’m not essential to, so I’m good.

Really gonna miss work from home if they ever get us fully back to the office.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
The insurance damage assessor stopped by to look at the damage on my daughter's 4th gen Maxima. He turned out to be a cool dude.

He's a big 1st gen Tacoma / 2nd gen 4Runner guy. We stood in the driveway BSing about Toyotas for a good 30 minutes.
