they were only $1650, so not that much compare to 6112/OME. Current pricing of the same shocks tho

@Norilsk is the 1st of us to have a problem. He is not the only one to have Elka's.

    Coincidence?

    :bananadead:

I dont think its a problem at all. It is a wear item, that is easily replaceable. :notsure:

Apparently it’s a common issue with the elkas based on krave automotive who @Norilsk spoke with. All have the same issue apparently. Who knows though.

Ideally. Mine are still fine. I am ordering a set just in case. Parts are annoying to get so why not.

Im wondering if they went with a softer material so you don’t wear the aluminum shaft portion out. Easier to change a cheap (hopefully inexpensive) bushing then replace an expensive shaft.

Waiting for the mid cycle refresh when they make it more appealing, same thing was with the 2nd gen tundra - ugly AF before they did facelift.

Might set a little bit more of a fire under their butt.

Plus more people will know about this "common" problem with Elka's.

I agree. Even as a wear item, it should last a little longer then 2 years in my opinion.

The 6112'2 are under 1k for front only.

    That would make sense.

i have the 6112 on my 3rd Gen. Great shock for the price, would recommend getting the 650lb springs for them though. Get about 2.3 inch lift on top notch with 600lb springs after they settle.

I've always wondered if filling up four tires at a time is any faster that one at a time. Is there any info on this? The volume of air would have to be spread out between the four and it would depend on the compressor I suppose.
Would be interesting to see the numbers.

I dont run the same PSI front and rear, so its useless to me. Still have to go to 2 of the tires and adjust them.

Only takes me like 6 minutes to air up as is, dont really think it would save me any time at all. :notsure:

Doesnt make sense to me, but that is just me.
