Fumoto Fact(s) You Might Not Know

Fumoto or not to Fumoto, that is the question.

Everyone has a reason to use or not use one. I didn't and now I do:

• It reduces the number of times I need to get down on the floor and slide under the truck. I've got shit that hurts that I didn't know I had 10 years ago, crawling on a garage floor is less appealing than it once was.
  
• If you don't see the need for a Fumoto valve, you are absolutely correct. But one day you might, and that's OK.

 

There are about a million informative threads on here. Of course, there are plenty of silly ones as well.

If you read some of the comments people post about Fumoto valves, you'd understand where the OP is coming from. It seems that there are a number of trolls around here just scrolling through and looking for things to argue about. Just look at a KO2 thread and you'll see how much useless negativity some folks post.

 

And here we all are wasting our lives reading and commenting on a stupid oil valve.

It's only a waste if you think it is. And if you do think it is a waste and yet participate, it's not the valve that's stupid.

 

But it can be the valve and the people just look.

 

Looks like a massive amount of butt hurt to me. If you like this thing that’s great use it.

 

I like mine. Picked up a filter today and was planning on an oil change this afternoon. It makes things really fast and clean.

 

I’ve been completely honest and upfront with my SNAFU. I’m not trying to backpedal. Not trying to defend my actions. Only trying to share why I use the valve because not many really know how it works or what benefit is derived from using it. Point me to a single posting that identifies all of the benefits I’ve laid out here. Seems like you point fingers more than you listen. Doesn’t surprise me in the least. I’m sure you will post many things people may disagree with BUT THE DIFFERENCE will be we won’t ridicule you for doing what you want to do or trying to guess ones motives.

 

Been using one in my Camaro for a decade. Will never go back.

 

There’s a fumoto style valve installed on my riding mower, stock. I don’t mind it because I can keep an eye on it, it’s on side of the block and not underneath. It’s annoying how slowly it drains.

I rather enjoy my Taco oil changes with the drain plug. I have no desire to go fumoto.
