    I thought about getting some symbols or writing like that cut into my cat shield plates when I gave the shop my cardboard templates for a pattern......but then I figured an empty-handed and pissed-off thief might smash a window or kick in a door on my truck out of spite.....

    That was a year ago. I was in the market for a 20 and got a ‘21. There was a deal going on that you got 1k off the 20, so they gave me 500 off the 21.

    Did this tonight. 1/4" Anodized Aluminum with 7/16" Grade 8 HW. Nuts are welded on to the bolts. My place of work (Hospital) has had some Catalytic Converter thefts recently.

    For the Cat Security Shield is it required to drill the 4 screw holes or can I get away with not drilling the 4 screw holes. If I do not need to drill the 4 screw holes then will the shield plate be secure when I mount it? Will it work with the TRD Pro skid plate?

    I’m not sure about the cat security….

    I can tell you the plate I make is 2x thick, doesn’t require drilling, and can be installed with the TRD pro plate.

    I don't think a theft deterrent would need to be complicated or expensive... how about some plumbers tape to secure it in? It would ad a step for the thief causing them to take longer and possibly make it not worth their time or effort.

    Earlier this AM there was a cat shield listed as a port option on the Toyota configurator. It strangely went away an hour later.
