I just put color-matched letters from Tuffskinz on ,my OEM grill and added the lights.

 

Done... for now!

Thanks! it turned out nice. it was a little bit of a pain to get those 35's in there but its good to go now.

 

Working on a new front "badge". Final colors may depend on what color vinyls I can get, but open for other feedback as well.


This is just a "design" at this point. I haven't actually cut anything. I'll need to rework it to actually cut the different colors, but as long as I'm at the conceptual stage, no reason to make it harder to edit.

Looks like the new TRD 22's will have the black/red TRD decals. Smart move, much better looking than the silver/white decals (in my opinion).

 

Have you seen one in the flesh? The "Build Your Own" view on Toyota's website showed those red decals on the 21s too, but I've seen a couple of green 21s that definitely had the silver/white decals. I suspect that the 22s will have the same decals.

Better than black and silver but I would have peeled them off too. Day 1 mod for mine.

 

Interesting! I never noticed that the 2WD and 4WD trucks had different decals because they're all 4WD here. I'll be able to confirm in a couple weeks whether or not they're doing that color scheme with the 4WD!

 

That’s pretty cool- can’t believe the 22s are already on the lot? When my 21 came in with silver letters I was so pissed!! That’s the one thing on the truck I couldn’t stand, then they kinda grew on me. Now the red and black look odd to me? Lol Go figure?

 

It's funny you say that, because I share your feelings. Back in Feb when I bought my AG, I took off the white/silver decals because I really disliked them. I later replaced the decals with the black/red decals and kind of missed the look of the silver decals.

 

Yeah once I saw the same stickers on the black Tacoma and the red Tacoma I realized they looked pretty good on dark paint and I was much more receptive to the way it looked on mine. I just saw the red and black stickers photoshopped to the AG Tacoma online as I waited for mine for 10 weeks. That was what I expected to show up. I had no idea I was looking at photoshopped pictures. Lol

 

Took a drive today to see some fall colors, but it was hard to see them under all that white stuff.

 

It’s funny all the talk about red/black decals. Literally had this convo over the weekend with my wife while washing the truck. All the stock pics I saw online of AG Tacomas had the red/black letters and I absolutely hated it. I was relieved when I saw mine had the silver/gray color letters. I think black with gray outline woulda looked best but I just didn’t like the way red looked with the green.
