Installed today. 2h professional install. No squeaks whatsoever. Make sure the top hat is seated well. Before and after pics below. Very happy with this setup.

No more rubbing with 265/75/16 on 16x8 -20 offset Volk TE37X.

No one spoke with eibach. They are unaware of the problem. We will see if it surfaces on this install. If not, I suspect it has to do with the top hat install as my professional installer suspects.

Wooohoo!! My kit shows up tomorrow! Totally putting the rear blocks in on lunch break. Going to be rocking a front rake for a few days till I can put in the front.

Well I got my kit, looking pretty good! The rear blocks are actually pretty nice. They are machined, come with new hardware, and look like they will be a good fit. Going to try to throw them on today for my lunch break.

Got my rears installed afterwork, just need to do the fronts, but I have to work in the street as my driveway is too steep to work on suspension. So I plan to do one side at a time in the same way as the video post 2 pages before. But just incase, I do have a spring compressor if needed. Im limited to hand tool since my air lines wont reach the street, but since my truck is fluid filmed on a regular basis there is no rust.

My truck is going to look like it skipped leg day for a few months though. Im waiting till my stock tires are shot before upgrading wheels and tires, but with MN winters, the tires should be finished by January.

I did the same thing. Finished wearing out the GY Wranglers for about 3-4 months before upgrading to 285/75r16 Geolandar ATs.

I think thats probably the tire I will be going with. I like how knobby offroad tires look, but most seam subpar in the actual weather I drive in (snow or sun), and I dont offroad. But I am going to go with these wheels to go with them.

I'm a fan of those Black Rhinos. They were in the top 3, but couldn't pass on my favorites, Evo Corse DakarZeros. In my 25 years of driving, I've never purchased expensive wheels. Only stockers and cheap D window steelies. YOLO.

I have been really impressed with the Geolandar ATs. Really quiet, smooth on the interstate, and performed really well on the passes around Ouray and Telluride. Have also done really well in SoCal and Az, and they tow really well. I wasn't really considering them originally, but found a great deal on them. I really like the Grabber ATx as well. I used those on an old Wagoneer for a few years. Not as quiet, but smooth and performed really well off-road.

Alright, before I start the fronts I need some opinions on how I plan to install the fronts.

Since I am doing them at home, I have to work in the street. My driveway is too steep and the garage is packed for winter already. I can only do 1 side at a time due to working in the street.

My plan is to unbolt the lower control arm from the knuckle, loosen the cam bolts and let the control arm lay down. I am hoping I have enough space to slide the strut right out the bottom. Then I will swap out the spring and put back in. Then I will flip the truck around and do the other side (I need to work on area right infront of my driveway)

I dont have airline long enough to reach the street to use my impact gun, so this will be all hand tools.

    Yeah.
When I have done fronts, I have just removed the sway bar. It helps to have a sturdy pry bar to press the LCA down when removing and re-installing, and an extra set of hands to get the bottom bolt back in. I used a shovel handle. My wife got the bolt back in for me and I didn't even have to yell at her. Have some cardboard to lay the struts on when disassembling/assembling so you don't scuff things up terribly. Anyway, I've done 2 Tacomas and a 4Runner this way, but there are other ways.

Thats the way we did it when I first installed the pro suspension, but we did it at the VW dealer I used to work at so we had a lift and all the tools. Im hoping that by loosening the LCA (need a alignment anyways) that I can get away with not dropping the sway bar since I have to do it one side at a time.

    Yeah.
Yeah, but the sway bar is easy to remove and you can leave it off and still move the vehicle. I'd do it anyway just to get it out of the way and not have to fight it.

Ok, so that ended up being way easier than it was the first time around. I got the passenger side done, but ran out of daylight for the drivers side.

    I removed the sway bar
unbolted the 2 19mm bolts on the lower ball joint.
Then I was just able to lift the spindle up and the strut slid out under the tie rod. To put it back in, I put the strut down between the tie rod and axle, then lifted the spindle enough that I could twist the strut into place.

The biggest issue I ran into was with the damn spring compressor. I might take the strut up to the shop down the street and have them throw it on real fast.

Ok, other front is in, did it on my lunch break. Just need to put the sway bar back up and reinstall the skid plate. Then I will take down to the river and do some of the rough trails to get everything settled. Next week is my alignment and I will be good till I get my tires!

In all I got 1.5 inches in the front and 1 in the rear just as advertised. I have a trd offroad with pro suspension, so I am sitting 2.5 higher in the front and 1 higher in the rear than a stock offroad. With tires I will add another 1.5 inches to ground clearance to be about 4 inches higher than a stock offroad.

Its getting a bit colder here, so off course my air compressor popped the breaker everytime I turned it on. Hoping by the time I have to put on the sway bar it will of warmed up enough to run the compressor.

Well compressor never came back on, so I had to do everything by hand. But its all done, ive only some some light test driving on road, but overall truck feels great. Hoping to get over to the offroad trail later today when I go get dogfood.

So what happens when I install these springs with my westcott lift? Haha.

Really wish these came out sooner. Anyone running an aftermarket bumper? Curious if the spring can accommodate more weight.
