    Hey Guys,

Rode BMX for majority of my life and now moving onto MTB. I have a general sense of mountain bikes, but not sure going rates.

What would the following go for?

2013 Specialized Camber Comp 29 XL in Southern California

The post just states in working condition and is an XL.

Man in these times who knows. One important factor is that many of those parts found on that bike may no longer be standard. Mountain bike technology and standards change at warp speed compared to bmx bikes.

Me personally? It would be worth around $500

I'll know for sure by Friday on whether I can do Sunday. My gout is still in flareup mode so I'm hoping it chills out for the weekend so I can at least sorta pedal.

    Maya blue??? It’s a color :)

My Salsa Cutthroat, it’s just Blue, although it’s lighter blue of some sort. I dig it. Also has the “cutthroat” slash on the top tube, which I really dig!

But the best color of all - Cavalry Blue!!!!!!!!!!

awesome!!! I have had mine for 6 years now. Was on my RAV4 originally. It is on 24/7...best investment in my bike other than the bike itself (the OG Krampus in the tray closest to the truck)

Nice! Yeah I’m super stoked on the rack so far. Good to know you still love it after six years. Love your license plate mod as well.

i had a dream i was at a bike shop looking at bikes. then they rolled out a box with my name on it saying i won it. it was one of those red transition sentinels, but had cruiser bars for some reason. so i was looking at some flat bars but when i handed it back in the package it was broken in 2? then i looked closer at the bike and it was an e bike, which transition doesnt make.

please tell me im not seeing the future in my dreams and transition is coming out with an e full suspension bike

also, anyone ride/commute in the winter? im trying to commute to work more this winter and my leg warmers under my bib shorts aren't cutting it. debating if i should get some trail pants and that will be enough or if i should get a pair of those thermal bibs that are like pants and wind blockers on the front. i may need to get a pair of cycling boots too since my feet get a bit cold. i can try some thicker wool socks tomorrow, but my standard columbia wool socks let my feet get cold/numb about 20-25 mins into my rides in the morning.

my core, hands, and head are all fine with the gear i have. i may get some of those lobster mitt things that stay on your bike for the real cold months. its getting down to the high 20s on my morning rides here in colorado

    @mrtonyd

I ride throughout the winter here in NM. But, I do have a cuttoff on temp. That said, I’ll wear under armor tights if it’s really cold, the type with the heavier felt type lining that almost act as wind proofing material. These work better than the leg warmers I have for the really cold days. I’ve even worn both of these on some colder rides.

My feet also get cold, I have toe warmers, but they still get cold. I think that’s just from being in the one position. As I ride, they do seem to get some of that feeling back if I try to keep my toes moving. I just got new MTB/gravel shoes and the toe box is a little bigger, so that may help with keeping my toes warm if I can move them around a bit more. My road shoes don’t give much movement.

For my hands, I battle Raynauds Syndrome, so have tried multiple types of glove scenarios to keep my hands warm and the feeling in my fingers and just cant find something that works. The first 30-60 minutes can be tough for me, but my fingers usually get some feeling back into them as the ride goes. Even as I type this sitting inside my house, a few of my fingers are tingling and white. Just something I battle with. I have heard the lobster style gloves are the warmest, but I have not tried those.

My break point for temp is probably 30* these days, although I’ve ridden in the 20s and with the New Mexico sun, 20s and no wind can actually feel fine if you are dressed correctly. Anything with the wind proof material is what I look for, my Castelli road jacket provides that and the balaclava I wear for fishing is perfect for riding if it’s that cold!

For fat biking in the winter, I wear a polyester wicking base layer and soft shell pants. I also wear waterproof, insulated hiking boots. Basically just gear that I also use for snowshoeing. 45NRTH sells a bunch of cold weather gear, but it's pretty pricey.
