I wouldn’t pay over msrp for a truck. We want it but not that badly.

Ok I have contacted a few dealers here in SoCal. I've got some few emails back regarding a 2022 TRD Off-Road. All of them have a adjusted market of $5,000 over MSRP and only one have responded with a $2,000 adjusted market. Have anyone gotten a straight up MSRP for 2022 model? Would you guys share the dealer if possible.

Only dealer I’ve heard of selling at MSRP is Longo in El Monte. I’ve heard also that Toyota of corona has a mark up but you can talk them down to MSRP. I recently bought at Toyota of Redlands and they had a 7k markup but I talked them down to MSRP, but that’s on a 21 might be harder on a 22.

It was already allotted to them when I went in. After we talked about what I was looking, for the conversation was:

[hands me a printout of the build sheet] "Here's the first one we have coming that matches what you're looking for, it's scheduled to build on [date] and arrive around [other date]. Do you want this one?"

I got a text last Tuesday confirming that it was built on schedule, and the ETA is 2 weeks from now, give or take a couple days.

    Lucky you .

My dealer told me they'll try again this week for the allocation of my Pro. So ready to get back into a Tacoma and out of this big ass Tundra. Plus, I've got a shitload of boxes in my closet, (and the garage, and probably some other place in the house that I forgot about) waiting for the Taco

Cabe in Long Beach has treated me well but I haven’t checked on the 2022s.

Thanks, and best of luck to ya! I've been drooling over Tacomas for the better part of two decades, but an SUV always made the most sense for me until lately. I'm stoked to say the least! :yay:

4 Runners are made in Japan so run a different build schedule, November is supposed to be when the Tacoma PRO hits the production line with shipment to dealers shortly after.

I know the dealers have bills, and yes the sales have to live, but this is getting ridiculous. I guess if they have no cars to sell, they need to make up their commission somehow.

Is it bad I see this as price gouging, and will not do business with a company who does this, even after the chip shortage/supply issue

That's in my area....but I wouldn't pay that price. I want a new truck since last car purchase was 2004. I'm way overdue and the most I would pay is MSRP or $1000 over, no more than that. If not I will just hold on to my money

Do dealers realize if they piss of enough people with price gouging they may never see them again.

California dealers have been posting $10k markups for years and getting it , it’s not just a new thing.

I think most are only concerned with making as much money as possible on the deal that is in front of them.
