UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

I’m in st George. Anyone want to plan a trip to sand hollow or Moab? I’d prefer to go with a small group as I am new to the area. I’m on 33’s and rear locker. Just want to go out and have fun with my wife and meet some people.

I was planning on it. But my wife is involved in a big street market thing that weekend that I didn’t realize. Haha. And she of course needs my help. I was planning on trying to wake up early and make it out there on Sunday though. We should definitely do something! I heard sand hollow has some sweet trails too!

 

Get some rock sliders, wishing I did before last weekend.

 

Who was it in here that had land available for Elk hunting? I cant remember for the life of me...

Haha, Im hoping I can just have a body shop pull it down and out so I can open my door again. Then I'm just going to bedline the bottom of the doors and fenders. Skip the painting and all that, plus bed line will help hide any imperfections left behind.

I have front and rear bumpers as well as sliders on order. But it’s like 8-12 week lead time. Nutz

 

You just missed the big Trail Hero event out at Sand Hollow. There are lots of different trails and the event is a great time to go and learn the area with lots of recovery vehicles on stand by.



Traction boards and a shovel can be your best friends out there.

I have a little unfinished business at Sand hollow / Sand Mountain so maybe I can come back down soon

 

Yeah, I heard about it. It looked like a lot of fun! Definitely would of gone as sand hollow is just 20 minutes from my place. Trying to catch up on social media as I don’t know how else to be notified of all the events. Definitely, just let me know! I’m free almost every weekend!

 

Going on a trail with some other guys on this form from Idaho. Had to go over a rock ledge and without a locker it’s almost impassable. Well skinny pedal got me up, then I slid down onto the rock, but got traction and got up and over. Looks like this but this photo is a couple months old and it’s much more rutted and the black/rubber rock is about 2’ straight up

I’ve got front and rear bumper as well but with a double cab there’s a long wheelbase so be very very careful because it’s pretty easy to get carried away with the skinny pedal and then this happens.

 

I use antenna tv and don't pay a dime. My daughter has netflix and hooked us up on her account so we have that with a roku box. I can live without the big bill every month for the privilege of extra channel surfing.

 

Are you replacing 16" wheels? Selling them?

I was able to find some 17s off a 2020 4runner for about 350 for the set on Facebook marketplace (I know Facebook sucks). I see a couple on there now.
