I'd pay more for the Faxon.
I've seen pics of Trybe's where the gas key sheered right off.

 

Those look pretty safe already without a barrel

 

Ahh wasn't sure if you were looking for actual sights or and optic of some kind. Lots of people run the DD with an optic also.

 

I was leaning towards the Faxon just b/c I know their reputation for 9mm AR barrels and assumed the BCG would work well.........but I don't want to "waste" $20 if I didn't have to For the $20 extra, I think it'd be a better bet....cause if I have to replace it.....that's $109 thrown up a wild hog's ass

 

Uh, aren't those PCC bolts? How does the gas key sheer off in a blowback gun?

 

Trybe makes BCG's for multiple calibers. If their quality is low for one caliber, not worth saving the $20 to find out if it sucks for their pistol caliber BCG's also.

I'm honestly not sure which way I want to go on this one. I have another EPC-9 lower that I will eventually SBR, so I don't know if I want to keep them the same or try different setups.

 

My ar-9 currently only has a red dot. If i were to build another I think I would put fixed irons on it only. And if I were to do that, the DD irons are definitely the ones I'd run as I think they are the best quality and I like the style. But that's just me.

 

I will check those out. The only BUIS I have, came on my 410 upper and Panzer BP 12. I have yet to shoot either one of those

 

I don't use my irons as much as I should. I really need to make it more of a habit to practice with them more.
Well need to shoot in general more also haha.

 

I honestly just enjoy building AR's. I much prefer to shoot pistols.

A cheap-ass Presma ambi one. I can't bring myself to pay $80 for an Aero Breach at the moment. These aren't service guns, so a cheap CH will be fine.

I've got an Aero CH on my rifle, but of all the CH I've pulled.....I could never really tell a difference(other than being ambi). I'm sure the more expensive ones are better.....but I just don't have a use for them to be completely honest.

The only reason I want an Aero Breach is b/c...........Aero

 

Bought a new free float tube, get everything apart, go to tighten the new barrel nut and of course I have no tools that fit it. I needed a 1 1/8” crows foot, off to the tool store tomorrow.
