The Tacoma took the family to Cherokee, NC. It was a gorgeous trip and coming home (down the mountain) I've never gotten better gas mileage in my life! Ha.

I used to go up that mountain in a 5.4l V8 powered F150 pulling a 36 foot camper. Foot to the floor, engine howling and we'd be flying along at 20mph. Going down the mountain was always better.

Took off my front mud flaps.
The driver side was taken off on the Niagara Rim Trail and sounded pretty cool when it tore off.
Passenger was taken off in the garage and was rather casual coming off.

Man we saw some people struggling for sure. But everyone had great attitudes and gave way. Everything there was gorgeous and the food/breweries were outstanding!

Going to add another section at the bottom to have two tie downs for the tank.

Got into an accident today. Smacked my bumper on the front passenger. Driver was intoxicated and no driver license. Got a few scratches, the other guy fared way worse..

So many I forgot and had to make a list, but lost the list
Stopped by Brad's Garage for a new alternator installed. Factory unit lasted 165237 miles. Brad only works on BMW, Audis and Toyotas. First two for the money and Toyota's 'cus he likes them. He liked the hood struts. Catch the alternator failing on the way home and limped into his garage. Since it was not a mod, it was okay to pay a great mechanic while I was at my living wage retirement job.

Not today, but Monday added the @HeadStrong Off-Road 3 leaf AAL. The previous owner used air bags but decided to ditch them. Ride is much better imo. Can’t really tell in the pic but the rear is about a 1/2in higher than the front.

Changed the oil, replaced the cabin filter, extended the AC drain past the frame, and drilled some holes and put in a cowl snorkel. Then topped off fluids and checked my recovery gear in prep for a wet wheeling trip on Saturday. Now I just need to move the exhaust blower so I can fit in a second battery.
