That seems like BS if it’s not being used for any commercial purpose. But then again I’ve been wrong at least 10,000 times in my life and at least a hundred of those were related to insurance.

I'm not familiar with that. What makes it so expensive?

I think that the Conquerer is made in Australia. It's got a tough suspension on it, not a typical trailer. Top pops up, slide out kitchen, etc. Designed to go out to the outback for a week or more and basecamp.

I'll check that out. I'm just having a hard time wrapping my mind around that price. Are other adventure trailers that expensive?

Most of them are in the 40-50 range. The conqueror I think is the top end for its size class. Their big gimmick is that they are supposed to be 100% dust proof. No matter what kind of sand you drag it through, your bedsheets are staying clean. Not that i'm saying that's worth the price, but thats why they charge so much.

Which Ive discovered more than once, there is a definite dust threshold on mine. It takes dirt roads up to a point, and then suddenly the interior is orange. :anonymous::anonymous:

In the "wonderful" state of CA all trucks are registered as commercial.

A lot of them are. The Patriot Campers (also from Australia) are pretty sweet too ... and yes as expensive.

There are also some neat off-road teardrops, like by Bean. Lots of ways to spend money. :)

I don't go places with loading zones... which are usually large cities, which are usually shitholes these days in CA.

Someone will come along and buy it. I sold a 1972 FJ-40 for a stupid amount of money. Only reason why I sold it was because he gave me an offer that I couldn't refuse.

Today when people ask me if I will sell my truck, I tell them for $80K cash.

Same in Indiana, open bed vehicles are trucks and require truck plates, what's your point?
