Guarantee mine is headed down that road. Trouble begins when I get another daily. Aka, another taco to start the mad process over.

Well, I wasn’t in the mud with it since the last round. I’m starting to question if it’s pressure related, tire related or dirt related. I’m baffled on it this time because I’ve been super mindful of the issue. Had it on the rack yesterday and sure as shit it’s dripping again. I do have a whole lot of miles on everything since install. I’m on a serious hunt for a solution at this point.

You need to put a windshield washer nozzle down there and just hit it every once in a while while you are off road

Which brand rack are you changing out? My 1st gen only seemed to like the Napa Gold and Toyota racks. The other part store and reman brands had their lifetimes measured in months. I guess it was a good thing the warranty is lifetime cause the parts themselves are often garbage.

The only OE fit parts I buy are actual OEM parts. This rack was brand new when installed at the end of April.

Maybe pull it apart and polish the shaft and put new seals in it.

That’s what I did last time lol.

I’ll post some pictures of the guts of these racks tomorrow, I have one apart in my basement brainstorming a way to make this work.

Anyone that installed the lca pivot what material skid plate are you running? It says it comes with aluminum but I thought i remembered reading that a steel one could be swapped in. I dont get into the bigger rocks but i wonder if the weight difference is that much more. Might be worth it for the added security

From what I could tell with my calibrated eyeball, I bet the weight difference is negligible.

Doesn't seem like a huge surface area, so I bet you'd be fine on aluminum if that's the only way.

Every one that I've installed so far, including the one on my truck, is steel @Suicyco

I know they make both. I have a second gen steel and second gen aluminum in stock right now.

Lol, a couple weekends ago I beached my pivot skid on a rock and had to pull myself off. Aside from some scratches it didn’t even push in. Aluminum is just fine IMO

Artec makes a ton of jeep skids. Front to back aluminum entire underbody coverage type. Lots of people that use and abuse them really like them. I think there is just a heavy misconception about the strength of aluminum.
