Well I was cleaning out my garage today and found not only the first removal tool when I lifted my first truck, but the second one as well because I couldn’t find it!

Now I have 2 of these tools and 2 complete jobs.

Willing to sell the longer one for $25 including shipping. Then I’m willing to do my part and loan out my second for paid shipping. Wish I found this thread earlier.

Just need a taker to buy the first before I start the loner!64726637-72D2-4DF4-9D14-6BAAE7D7A2C8.jpg

UPDATE: Sold the first (Thanks @Rockefelluh!)
Second loaner is currently with @OffroadThinker
We found USPS flat rate boxes work pretty well for a little less than $9.
jwarr informed me 9/17/21 he is ready to pass along the tool.
Now with OffroadThinker as of 9/21/21

You don't need the specific ECS tool. There are other tools to remove blind bearings that can be borrowed from Autozone or Oriellys.

jwarr, PM heading your way. I just ordered the bushing so I'd love to get in line for the tool if nobody else has requested it.

Has anyone had success using a standard collet style blind bearing puller? I saw one post by someone cobbling together a homemade one with a collet, but I’m wondering why more people don’t just use a standard blind bearing puller for this as opposed to the ECGS tool.

I’ve read others suggesting that same thing saying it will work just fine but I don’t think I’ve come across a post from anyone that’s actually done it that way.

I bought the full kit when I did mine, the puller and the press. Can't imagine I need either at this point. In Prescott AZ but I could ship it I suppose!
