What’s up everyone, I hadn’t logged on here since 2013. Does anyone know how to retrieve an old password without knowing what email I used? Lol

Anyways, I’m here to start sharing what I just got done to my new Tacoma. I got the new icon electronic shocks, they were announced 2 weeks ago & I got them installed yesterday. If someone out there has them, please respond and share some intel. I absolutely love the way the truck drives now, wow I am excited to share feedback! I’ll get pics of it tomorrow! In the meantime I’d like to see if anyone else out there has this set up. There’s not a lot of info yet so we’ll have to learn about them on here for now

Hot damn the future is now! If only it could raise/lower like air bags, dual-purpose catalytic converter protection/hot boi mall crawl!

But in all seriousness, love seeing new tech for Tacomas. Interested to hear how you like it after 30k miles.

$4700 each shocks? Nearly 20k for the 4? Fuck to the no, hard pass. I’ll get my ass out and make the adjustment lol.

No I don't think that's the case. You buy the CDEV front coilovers ($2,600), rear shocks ($1,900), plus whatever else you want (UCAs, etc), then you buy the intelligent control kit for $500.

I was just reading about it, seems like pretty amazing tech if it works and is reliable. I have the FOX stage 4 mid travel setup, and would have seriously considered this if it was available at the time. To me its similar to being able to engage 4wd electronically from inside the truck, rather than the old school having to get out and manually do it.

I adjust the DSCs on my FOX shocks when I need to, but definitely not convenient or fast.

Nice! I had no idea Icon made this. It's basically a "clicker" RR adjuster but done electronically from inside the cab. I assume that "knob" is a steeper motor or servo ?

and I thought I maxed out my Icon shock upgrades (Front Icon S2 bypass + Icon RR coil over + Icon hydro bump stop + Icon 2.5 RR VS rear).

Don't worry about what these ppl say. These are the same dudes that think overlanding with their entire kitchen bullshit piled on top of their truck is "fun". If you see them out in the desert just roost them with dust. It's ok, they wont even attempt to catch up to you as that would requite going over 5mph.

I got a decent price. $4,400 for all 4 shocks and the computer module deal. Normally that’s an extra $500 ish. I saved a buck or two luckily

I’ve driven 600 miles since I got them installed this week. I text my shop this morning and told them “this thing drives like a sports car while cornering” I’m super happy with the set up. I’ll be heading to Glamis at the end of the month, I’ll give you guys view after that trip

Fox and Rockshox make a similar setup for MTB Bikes. Amazing ride but they are VERY proud of it! Maybe not worth an extra $1,200 on a bike.

Sounds good dude, I’ll give you guys an update as I put more miles on them. So far I love them, drives like a sports car. Sounds over exaggerated but I don’t know how else to describe it. Had king’s in the past and I’m glad I didn’t get them this time around

Also, Rancho used to have something like this for their adjustable shocks, but it was a absolute train wreck design. It was all air powered! so it would leak all the time, things would stick due to corrosion and water in the lines.
