don't worry, I'm sure I could hand you a wrench or two....

actually I would like to help, taking out a rack sounds like some handy experience to have. Also I can nab that muffler off ya!

Yeah, pretty sure it needs replacing. Started out it was just pushing a little fluid out the driver's side boot on full lock, now it's constantly leaking out the passenger side to the point where I keep a bottle of atf in the truck. I had a look at it when I got home and the lines are fairly corroded as well so I pulled the trigger and ordered replacements for them too. Added a return line filter for good measure and I'm into it for $825 tax and delivery in. Should get some back when I send them the old unit for reman tho.

It was great seeing you on the weekend @Tertius420
You'll have to show me that Ellershouse connector to Bowater land you were mentioning.

@D2. yeah it was good to get up there and see what you've been working on! The connector from Ellershouse is very easy to find. Get off the Highway at Ellershouse and then go under the highway to the other side and get on the dirt road that is literally right there. Go up that road and explore, I'm sure you will find the connector, it's the only part back there that goes over a log bridge... I never crossed the bridge so can't say for sure it connects to the Bowater stuff but from looking at Google earth I'm like 99% sure it does, just not positive it is Tacoma friendly... Let me know if you plan to go explore, I'd be interested to go and check it out myself!

It was also awesome to see the sliders, I have to admit I was a bit worried how they would turn out but after seeing them I am more then impressed! Those things are beefier then I had ever imagined and I can't wait to get em on the truck! :)

So my starter went on the truck, cannot believe how much they cost to replace! So glad I bought an after market warranty when I bought the truck! How's the finishing welding going Dan? :)

Hey guys, first post here. Just bought my first Tacoma in July, 2013 trd sport. I also plan on exploring the bowater roads. I found a few locations that people camp in there along some of the lakes. I thought there was a gate across at the Ellerhouse entrance but I could be wrong.

If the warranty is a pain or has a deductible, you can usually rebuild the starter for a few bucks. Replacement contacts kits are cheap and easy to install.

You're better off entering in right off the highway 103 after exit 5. The other road there has been suffering from erosion for years and is more or less shut down. Hiking trail road is what it is labeled as.
