    Hi all,

This is my first post here as this is the first time I couldn’t search an answer for my question.

Just picked up my 2020 TRD Sport from the dealership for regular service. Got home and as I parked I heard what sounded like a bolt falling off. Got out and looked at the back wheel and saw this piece sitting on the ground. It’s off the brake drum but I can’t figure out what it is for it if I should be concerned about it. Other side is fine.

If anyone knows what this piece is that would be helpful!

They are weights on the drums. They fall off all the time

Pretty sure that’s a weight to balance the drum. Just like you’d have on a tire.

A balance weight installed as part of the manuf process.

See if you develop any pulsation. It's unlikely. You could clean it up and JBWeld it back on.

But that looks like a good bit of rust for a '20. Do you live in salt country, and have you protected your frame with something like Fluid Film yet?

Just pay attention to any vibration at higher speeds. Most likely you won't notice a difference.

I've loved JB Weld for decades. I just wish it was resistant to gasohol.....I ended up having to braze a rust hole in a steel Jerry can, after JB Weld kept failing. It's a great epoxy, though.
