Installed a magnetic gun holder for when I'm in a rough part of town running my routes and my piece is out of the safe. IMG_20211014_175303.jpg IMG_20211014_175322.jpg IMG_20211014_175120.jpg IMG_20211014_175048.jpg

I know they are not popular, but I installed the raptor lights on my OR grille. I used to have them on my TRD Pro grille, so I just bought the adaptor kit to add them to my OR.

I am doing the same thing on my SR5...old school American Racing Outlaw 2's in homage to the old days of off roading with my uncle in the 70's
    outlaw copy.jpg

get these with some 265/75/16 Cooper Discovery AT3 4s's or Dick Cepek Trail country's for a bit of the old and new

Those are amazing as well, I was literally just looking at them online. My **only** hangup is that I can't find any pictures of retro chrome wheels on a Voodoo Blue. I think it would look cool, but I also don't want to buy them, mount tires on 'em, and hate them. Ironically I got the blackout package on my Taco as well, though if I'm going for a retro style I'll likely debadge and get some retro badges instead so that may be a moot concern.

dude, I hear ya...I have been waffling over these ,and a few others for years now - even before I had my truck (b/c I knew I was getting one), but I these are the wheels I always fall back too...especially when I see them live on another truck or Jeep...then it is like "yeah, those for sure."

and while I like the recent trend of "blacking out" the trucks, I don't think all black wheels look good...

they would be on this truck:

If I like something and can afford it, I buy it because I could die tomorrow.. just don’t die before it takes fedex 10 extra days to deliver your stuff because of staffing issues..

Sorry, I missed a word. How much FUN did you have putting those UCA's in?

I unfortunately inherited my dads trait of looking at 5 of the same kind of thing in the store...thinking about it...putting them back....picking them back up...walking away....coming back....

I stew about way too many things. I know it is b/c we were poor growing up, so I rarely got anything new, and always had to think about budgeting money...I am not super poor now, but also not rolling in money, so I still have to make sure things are purchased for the long haul...this truck is only the 4th car I have had in 40 years of driving

yeah, i assume you’re asking because you already know the answer…it fxking sucked hahah. suspension was easy, but those UCAs were so frustrating and took so long. i mean seeing as i’ve never done a UCA install before, inexperience played into it a bit but it was just one of those things where I watched the install video from Total Chaos and he installs them in like 3 minutes and it seems so easy and straightforward, but then during the install, every step just like, didn’t quite work? things didn’t *quite* line up, things didn’t *quite* fit, and it just led to a very frustrating evening lol.
so yeah, there was no fun to be had. thanks for asking :)

Installed Raptor lights. Tapped in to the tail light fuse (under the dash) and they come on as long as the side markers are on rather than if just the headlights are on which is what you get if you tap into the headlight fuse under the hood.

Yeah, that's because I did JBA UCA's too and replacing the stock ones with these was a god damn nightmare. I wanted to punch the design group that thought jamming a single long bolt through a UCA at an angle that would hit the body and battery at every point was well thought out. Bending the weld wall at that point was easy enough to do, but in reality, those two knuckles should have had one bolt each. Done and out. That's the way the design should have gone. Anyway, good on you for doing it. Extra camber is great, don't forget to grease them though.

Just finished installing Rough Country in-line speedo calibrator after going to 35” tires. Sorry no pics :( Very easy install other than having to borrow a windows based computer and learn how to operate said windows based computer lol. :annoyed: It is now spot on with my gps. Cheers to hopefully seeing better numbers on my average mpg at least on the dash display!
