I gotta say, like Ted Lasso, I started watching purely on hype and hit a homerun with Ted. Squid Game was good and intriguing but not great.

 

Yeah, I haven't seen Ted lasso but heard nothing but great things.

SG is a good watch for a hangover day (Yesterday) finishing up the last episode now. Really just now getting around to my watchlist that's been building up for months, so I'm behind on everything

 

I really liked Ted Lasso, our free apple TV Plus subscription ran out and I've been debating starting it up again just for that show. Got halfway through season 2

I read recently that Jason Sudekis (Ted) is getting $1 million per episode for season 3

 

Yeh I'm on a free subscription also. It's like $5 month and the content is getting better than when they first started it. But 3rd season is the last for Ted Lasso which would be fine but I say at least 4 or 5 seasons would be good.

 

Good for Sudekis, from just a SNL writer to big time actor.

 

For sure, he created the show Ted Lasso too so it's not like he's just one of the actors demanding a huge pay raise for being the main character. He gave Apple TV+ a huge hit show and they needed it. I'm surprised it's ending after the 3rd season, but I guess that was the plan all along according to him.

 

Finished season 3 of Ozark. I don’t have any words really except to demand season 4 be released immediately. It was good enough for me to ignore the plot holes.

Started Squid Game, almost ashamed to admit. It’s better than I thought it’d be but I thought it’d be terrible. Dealing with the dubbing makes it hard to really like it though.

 

Binged Squid Game.

I had low expectations. Better than expected. The human interactions are well written, so to speak. The worst episode was probably the last one. But overall watchable, I enjoyed the wide variation from the voice over vs. sub titles ("bad person" spoken words "fucker" in subtitle)

 

Dopesick comes out on Hulu today. About Oxycontin and how Purdue manufactured and pushed it as a "safe and non-addictive" painkiller for years which help create the opiod epidemic we have today. I'm pretty excited to start this one, you can't go wrong with anything Michael Keaton is in

Don't forget we have the new version of Dune and maybe better Wheel of Time series coming up. (hope they aren't dogs)

Finshed all 3 episodes already, great show so far - highly recommend. Going to be 8 episodes total, I think the next 3 come out next week

Holy crap has it already been 2 years since season 1? I guess it has....I remember finishing it right before covid started. Wow

 

I know, I had forgotten about it and it popped up and saw a new season was coming.

I started “Only Murders In The Building” and found I like it.
Thinking about watching the Hannibal series again. I missed all but the last 20 minutes of it for some reason and feel I need to start over.. I loved Mind hunters and there will be a third season.
Watched Nine perfect strangers and thought that was cool.

I remember some of the doc level stuff well (for a couple reasons). Pretty much true, I for one knew it............the gov level stuff is really cheesed up, enhanced and very corny. TV.

Keaton is great, no question there. Other acting decent.

I just don't see why 5 minutes in we have to contemplate everyone's sexual orientation. So many shows repeat the same theme. Gets old. Hollywood.

Will continue to watch.
