I apologize if I wasted your time asI wasn't thinking when I posted, I was just looking for rear shocks as I won an auction for 6112s a month ago. Thank very much for the reply.
I ended up finding 5160s on eBay for $199 each last night. I had someone message me last night offering me 2019 leaf springs for $75, I was thinking I could chop my old leafs and make an AAL. Are your old leafs with the AAL stock or something else?

Had a similar conversation after my sister moved a couple months ago:

I need your truck on Saturday

Sorry, I have stuff going on

Well, we can still use your truck

You don't know how to drive it

    My fiance can

No he won't, and you never said "please"

FYI just cutting an identical leaf to add to another pack won't produce the same results as an AAL. The additional leaf that is sold to produce lift has additional curve to it so that it shapes the rest of the pack.

Probably. I've never seen it written down, but I'd bet a nice lunch on it.

I have the smallest truck in the family. So if anybody is borrowing anything it's me, shamefully asking for the F450 and the longboi trailer. That's just something Toyota doesn't really compete with.

And when you have one, there are times you wished you didn't need one. They are so freaking expensive to get fixed.

Turns out if you buy a manual, people ask but can’t drive it

then proceed to ask why you’d want a manual and I say so no one can borrow it lmao

I'm old and forgetful so don't recall if I've read it regarding Tacomas or just trucks in general. I've read about people chopping a leaf pack to add leaf springs to an existing pack, whether it was adding a smaller one down the bottom like I mentioned or adding their older leaf springs between 2 if the better leaf springs on a newer pack. I have no real world experience with either but if I was gonna be buying a used leaf pack I'd rather chop my old one and try it before buying an AAL.
