What wheel and tire size?? Any lift or stock suspension?

 

Very nice, how much lift did you gain and what size wheel and tire?

 

Added my old spacers from my 265 75 16 setup. Had to do some trimming to avoid rubbing with 285 75 16s. Used some epoxy to press the flaps snugly against the body. Nothing major, mainly just the OEM mud flaps that I wanted to keep.

- 20 Pro w/ oem suspension, wheels and mud flaps
- 285 75 16 KO2
- 1.5 inch wheel spacer
- Wescott Pro Collar kit (1.5-2 inch lift)
- Icon Progeessive AAL w/ overload. Leveled out thr truck perfectly with about 250-300 pounds full time bed weight.
- Sumosprings black 1000 pounders in case I tow. Not engaged unless major weight added back there. About 1 inch gap.

 

Hey there. Great looking truck! Just got my 2018 TRD Sport. It has a leveling kit and I currently have 285 70 17 tires. I currently have some rub on the front tires inside when I turn the wheel all the way, but I was wondering if you think spacers would fix this.

 

It will more than likely make it worse. Wheel spacers will make the offset even lower and push the wheel even further outside the fender, causing more rubbing. IN every situation I have been in... no rubbing without wheel spacers... rubbing with spacers.

 

Thank you! I didn’t actually measure but at clip 5/6, the 6112s give you 2” up front and the Icon RXT Stage 1 provides 1-7/8”. The rims are the 17” TRD 4Runner wheels, and running Falken Wildpeaks 275/70/17s. With the new set up, I am rubbing slightly at full lock on the passenger side.

 

How’s the ride quality from stock? Any noticeable loss in MPG?

 

You are likely right, but just wanted to illustrate where the rubbing is coming from when I cut the wheel past about 80% of the way. I see exactly where it's rubbing, so my logic was: If I use a spacer to move the tires father from that upper control arm, then my rubbing would be reduced. Am I wrong?

 

Joined the MGM club. Here's my 2021 SR before and after new Toyota alloy wheels, tube steps, and a Leer retractable bed cover. I also added mud flaps last week that are not pictured and could only find them for the SR by reading this forum.

As a weekend warrior and this being my daily driver, I really like how it rides. I live on the East Coast and only take on the occasional dirt / National Forest road. Yep, definitely lost a few MPGs with the extra weight of the 275s.

 

I’ve got 265’s on stock and considering this lift, just weighing the pros and cons.

 

I have the exact same setup as him, except my Icon RXT is set at option 2 because I have a shell and bed platform and all sorts of crap in the bed of the truck that adds weight. I have to say it rides way better than stock and it soaks up speed bumps and washboard alike. Taking it off-road it’s very smooth and handles well. It also has great road manners. I have mine set on the 3/4 clip settings since I have an access cab but I put in 1/2” spacers up front to level it out. I’ve had this setup now for almost 2 years and I’m very happy with it.

 

I was rubbing in the exact same spot, and also on the sway bar. 1.25" spacers fixed that issue for me. I'd already done a CMC so I didn't have issues with rubbing there due to the wheels sticking out further. The problem with spacers can be that it'll stop rubbing on the UCA and sway bar, but start rubbing on the fender or cab mount.

 

@Pruby18 so far I’m very happy with this set-up! Haven’t had a chance yet to get it off pavement though… had plans for this past weekend but that got scrubbed due to heavy storms that rolled in. I was probably researching set-ups for the better part of a year, and @Nomad26 was very helpful in providing me with some valuable insights which assisted me with ultimately choosing this set-up over others. (thank you again @Nomad26).
