This is my first post on the forum and i wanted to say thanks to everyone with all their knowledge that i used while looking through the forum

I have a 2015 tacoma and i would like to install leds under the mirror to work as a courtesy/puddle light. I want them to come on when I unlock the truck or open a door. Does anyone know where I can tap into to get that desired outcome? thank you

Probably tap into the footwell area that work in line with the dome light or up in the a pillar area?

how did you get the wire from the door to the truck? did you just fish the wire through the boot?

I just pushed a heavy gauge wire through the door into the truck and the grabbed it with some needle nose plyers
