So I just got my 285/70/r17 and lift put on. I am loving the look. I went with -12 offset which pokes the tire out about 1/2". I want to keep dirt and road salt from kicking up on paint. Im thinking rockblokz won't work as I had cmc cut and feel they will still rub. Plus kinda ugly.

I am thinking about doing sliders that are a tad wider for feet too then having a fab shop welding a small sheet on the front of the slider at a 45 degree angle to barely go under the bottom area of my fender flare? Having it stick out kinda flush with the tire? Obviously it wont be welded to fender area just at the slider at an angle.

Has anyone done or tried this? Yes I know could be stupid but I am always imagining crap in my head. Living in Northern Utah I just want to avoid road salt hurting paint. For the rear I can do rockblokz so not worried there.

Sounds like you should have gone with a more positive offset.

Possibly but still love the look and figure I can make it work somehow. Maybe a 0 offset would have been better but is what it is.
