It is no longer possible to access hiking trail road directly from the 103. With the twinning project they built an overpass connecting Hiking Trail Road to Bowater Mersey Road, and opened Bowater Mersey Road on the Hwy 3 for cars and ATVs.

Well then, been quite a while since I have been back home I guess. At least they allowed access still.

Actually it is even easier, though a little out of the way for me. There is also Bowater access directly from the new Ingramport exit, next one off the 103. I see front wheel drive compact cars back there all the time.

I can't remember if that's the same exit me and @D2. took that time we went fishing with Ethan? I remember it being fairly rough though!

It's been completely rebuilt by Dexter construction as part of the twinning. Both access points are 100% stock Corolla doable now.

Any suggestions for powder coating in Central/Northern Nova Scotia or the Valley? Need to get a bumper prepped and powder coated.

Progress was going well ( not as well as I want ) I welded up the gussets on the stand off's and wouldn't you know it, the tack on my last one broke causing the gusset to bow out, but I did not notice it until it was like 1/2 welded ( and I mean fully welded ) Hard to explain, but the result is I have to cut off the gusset, grind smooth and re-do. so a minor setback, but a set back none the less. Family time's been eating away at my garage time. Still planning on being done done by this weekend so I can drop them off when we go to the valley for Fall stuff ( pumpkin spice latte's, leaves, hennigars and other things girls like... )

do you remember if I was supposed to drill extra holes for some of those frame mounted boxes and stuff?

Dang it!! I knew I should have checked TW this weekend! sorry for the no show, but how did it go?

un-like :) that just means my truck is more of a mall crawler than an off-roader!

not the same exit, What old @Canoehead is referring to is that new exit they built between Tantallon and Hubbards, we got off right at Hubbards ( exit 6 I beleive ) and went that way. Might actually do that again on Friday seeing as how the kids have a day off school.

    see my previous quote.... ;)
but yes, its do-able in stock cars, you would just have to go slower for the pot holes, and some of the side trails like the @TacoMitch93 camping spot is a definite 4x4 only trail ( now with free pinstriping! )

@D2 sounds like you have enough on your hands ;)

Good news is I'll be at it again next weekend! They say you can tilt the rack forward to get the driver's side bolt out but I couldn't figure how and I was all outta cuss words by the time I got to that part on account of my steering shaft not wanting to let go of the rack input. Ordered a new bolt from Toyota like I should have done in the first place and I'll cut the old one out.

I’m looking for a 3rd gen just waiting for my cheque to come in from VA hopefully this week by the earliest next week latest

New Brunswick wants almost 45k for 16’s
I found a couple in the valley and Amherst and Yarmouth with low Kms and price

I’m turning my rolled 2011 into a plow truck I don’t need tail lights for it anymore
    I only got p/s d/s is smashed

so if I end up buying one down there I may be able to do a hook up

Yeah, I'm still looking for a tail light! I'm assuming the 2011 has the LED ones right?
