When this happened to me, I did contact OE. For a week, I was on calls with the owner. I got a refund for the bracket. No other money for the repair. But he assured me they would do a redesign. Looked on their site today and it’s still the same.

When I installed mine, I read on here to make sure it’s not touching the wires. Mine wasn’t. After a month of driving on NY streets, the bumps caused enough friction to cut through the insulation. Awful design.

I personally asked him to consider pulling the product, and/or send out a band aid solution. Mine has a rubber hose zip tied to the wire, and rubber edging on the aluminum bracket...

After my issues, I told him that if turned it upside down, so the lip mounting to the body curves the play upwards and extend the support arm, that should give more than enough clearance of the harness. Obviously fell upon deaf ears. I just hope other people find these threats and reconsider purchasing one. Don’t want to see a small business suffer but I don’t want to see a family get killed either.

His video on how to check/change the auto tranny fluid on Toyota transmissions without dipsticks is excellent.
It was one of the first I watched after getting the Tacoma, even though I have an MT, and I was hooked.

Idk if I've seen that one yet! But i I Did see him allude as to why Toyota went with a sealed trans. TLDR: "lifetime fluid"
