A Ram 1500 has 8-12k towing capacity which would be semi equal. I think the only thing that is going to dissuade me from the Tundra is price, as I feel it will be in line or a little more then the “big 3”. I have Ford/Chevy/Ram dealers within 5 minutes of my house, closest Toyota is 25-30. Ford has a really comfortable ride, and Ram has more of a “real truck” ride. Thought it was interesting to see towing and payload step up from the previous gen tundra, but people are demanding more, in a smaller package then buying something larger that will be safer.

NWS confirmed 2 tornadoes landed in my vicinity. The one was about 2 or 3 miles, as the crow flies. That's the second one that's hit in that area, the other being 1998. The strange thing is, I was out on my porch both times and witnessed the strong winds, though not the tornado itself. In 1998, I was on the porch with my step son, who was 18 at the time and today I was with my grandson, who is 13. Strange coincidence.

Neither were large, although I guess if one hits your home that's large enough. :(

What was he doing on the porch so early?

I drove down to Lawrenceville around 1100 and between the rain and high winds, 79 south was a real treat. /s

He said the storms woke him up. He likes to watch the storms from the porch. It was still dark but you could see the trees swaying since I and my neighbor have quite a few boogey lights.

the new eco boost boasts a 14k towing capacity

I’m not saying don’t look at the tundra but what I’m saying is don’t base buying your tundra off having a large capacity to tow. I’m sure the 150 isn’t a joy to tow 14k lbs either, IMO if you’re going to tow that much it’s best to step up to a one ton. The only thing dodge has going for them is the Cummins engine, the rest of their truck is junk, especially since they’ve gone away from offering the g56 with them.

Here's a welcome sight for folks in the eastern part of the state. That's what remains of a spotted lanternfly. Nice to know they're gaining popularity -- for how they taste!

This is the absolute best thing I’ve ever seen :rofl: I doubt I would ever tow over 8k but ya never know. Cummins adds on about $9,500 last time I checked. One day!

Good morning all. I forgot that I posted here. I ended up closing on a house in August. It took 6 months! Anyways, residing in Slatington now, over near the Slatington elementary school. Tacoma is all registered. I’m officially a Pennsylvania resident!

A shame such a Good Engine in a poor Truck I had a friend with the Cummins I loved the Engine the Truck was poor junk. I had a few Trips from The Lehigh Valley to Vermont .

I had given thought to put a 5.9 in a early Tundra Then I already had enough projects to last the next lifetime.

As some of y’all know my uncle was killed on the expressway 3 months ago by a motorist while he was operating a vehicle accident. Sadly yesterday we lost his brother, my grandfather, at the young age of 57. I know not everyone is religious, but those who are please keep my family in your prayers. Thank you.
