Easy there fella.. Don't talk shit unless your a potential customer you say? Ok. My wife and I work as partners running a very successful home based business and are "potential" customers and i will tell you that grill is ugly AF. That grill is for the assholes who need to be seen everywhere they go and don't give a shit if its unattractive, as long as you see them.
I don't think income has any bearing on what one finds attractive. We are who we are. When I was young and poor i loved redheads, Ferrari, Ducati, and Tacomas and even though I'm older and successful I still find redheads, Ferrari, Ducati and Tacomas beautiful.

I just don't understand the appeal of this look, or that of what OP posted. The MRAP that somebody posted has a more appealing face.

That looks better, and works real well on their cars. RC-F for example. Toyota could just put bumpers on their trucks, and they could minimize the griile to fill the space between the hood and bumper. Nothing wrong with traditional truck styling on a truck.

Thanks, although somewhat long winded on my part, I strongly saw where you were coming from and also had to point out, what had come to surprise me over the years, in terms of who is buying some of the Limited, TRD trim trucks or most loaded SR5s.

I agree with the bold, but I don't anyone to rip my head off, in taking it I am somehow implying that Limited or TRD buyers are "different" from non-TRD buyers LOL. Maybe that is true though? Some buyers, buy simply for the practicality and don't like to get carried away with spending on any vehicle. Others want it all (Limited/TRD Pro/TRD Sport Tech/OR Tech) for their commuter and in some exceptions, treat it more as a toy/addit. vehicle.

Truck buyers are very different than 20-25 years ago and highly suburban, which surely pads Toyotas pockets very well, considering the negligible differences between a 2005 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed 4x4 and a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport DCLB 4x4.

They basically keep these vehicles around much longer, to pay for losses in other sectors, as the tooling has been paid for times infinity.

Anyway, I cannot believe I forgot to share this with you and everyone else, because this LX 600 was still only of relevance to me (as of late) in terms of garnering insight, on Toyota's handling of Lexus nomenclature for new powertrains.

Now that I see LX 600 is not what one idiot said to me was the "mild hybrid model":facepalm:, like the Tundra, I now have a strong idea of the 2024 GX 550 not being that either.

GX 550 is a detuned V35A-FTS (aka Tundra base engine for everyone) or an entirely different new Dynamic Force turbo V6, which hasn't debuted yet. Prado and 4Runner do get that high output I4 hybrid, but GX 550 isn't that at all.

A 3.4L TTV6 with 3,444CCs of displacement might be cheatingly called LX 600, but GX 550 isn't any vehicle with less than 3,000CCs. It's not a turbo I4 at all, it's totally a 6-cylinder for sure.

The 2024 GX 550 is something TW folks should be more focused on and not even this LX 600, as it's not really targeted toward anyone here. The GX 550 is more fitting for that and GX 460 is such old news, that only the V8 is worthwhile, yet woefully gutless.

    screenshot_783__f6bb151a707ccf63f3e1da2e604c02bb4f0767bc.jpg

The 2024 GX 550 as I have said maybe earlier, has been designed to compete with the Land Rover Defender 110 I6 and be a discount Mercedes-Benz G550 in Japanese form, but will no longer have a V8, which is unlike the Defender 110 at the top end and G-Class.

It was shown to Lexus USA dealers on February 10, 2021, having been already designed to finalization during 2020. It's nice and blocky, like a G550 too.

    land_rover_defender_110_p400_se_urban_pack_8_a226cdb92e873fe1c6cc27d1d16431ec6f2a1c62.jpg land_rover_defender_110_p400_se_urban_pack_1_45e2fc14984797e5dd08ab9f7643d9bf0f0196be.jpg mercedes_benz_g_550_882_e8d169721f6af4fc13a2995e15f17917552b152a.jpg mercedes_benz_g_550_770_4557e3188fe6e25c72132d4db0244fae0c549142.jpg

GX 550 is essentially a more modernized interpretation of this early-mid 90s LC Prado, which in turn is essentially the same as the current ROW Land Cruiser J76. Call the GX 550 are more civilized version of the LC76, albeit in next generation form on TNGA-F. Are Toyota still looking into that Bronco competitor is my question, for Toyota brand?

That's great. Toyota should be very proud they've made a product in the Tacoma that now has broad appeal across varying socioeconomic demographics. Manufacturers who cannot make a convincing product that can reliably attract owners of other vehicles costing 2-4x the price, are the ones who lose out ultimately (like Kia).

That being said, I think income still matters a bit in some cases. Those who are more free-spirited, don't let that control them. Others who are only into image, will purposely acquire something tacky and ostentatious to make a statement.

I was really looking forward to the LX 750h but geezus is that ugly. Although an all black F sport should look okay. I think the GX 550 is what I’ll wait for now. At least it’ll be giant grille ugly, but much cheaper. And no AHC to deal with.
