If I were doing it, I would purchase a panel of 2 inch "blue board" to put under me. (i inch breaks too easily)

And get a pair of "camp slipper socks" $20 or so, just in case ;-)

    eta

OH! I just read about your foam pad/set up. nix the blue board! ;-)

But check the on-line info about the state camping sites. some might be closed or have the water shut off. Fore warned is fore armed!

Curious as to what they charge and your experience with them. They are like 10 minute from me and I've been on the fence about just booking an appointment with them.

This was a complete DIY! I bought a gallon jug of the NH coating stuff at the auto parts store. Sprayed it on with a home spun siphon wand that I whipped up twenty years ago.
Blew the mist into as many cracks and crannies as I could find. plus all the brackets and surface metal. It's at least "better". Better than what is yet to be known.

I can't say a thing about the application stations. or costs sorry.

Made a shock tower brace for the rear. Still going to add more bracing and mounting points, but its already night and day better handling wise now.

it's at a state park and we made a reservation. Water might not be on, but at least we'll have a spot!

We were able to pick our spot when making reservations at the Buffalo River State park in Glyndon Mn. Just lucky, I think we got the best spot in the place! River view, "corner lot", woods on the other two sides.

    Nice place really.

Damaged it! Not me per se - but I was rear ended waiting for a protected left turn. Of course, the other driver had no proof of insurance and no current license - good times. Thankfully it was low speed and no one was injured. I have it recorded on my dash cam and at first glance the truck looks “fine.” However, a closer look reveals damage to all three of the OEM bumper pieces. Going to have to take it to the shop and get it checked out.

My son-in-law & I were working on the Taco today. We did the OEM tailgate lock and Matt Gecko bed lights plus ran power to the bed so I can add a 12v Blue Seas System power center.

While he was under the truck he found the following tool jammed in between 2 leafs of the drivers side leaf springs!!! How in the hell could that happen? I’ve only had the truck a few months. This is the first time under the vehicle. Surely, someone must’ve realized they misplaced their “pick” tool!!

    Unbelievable!!!!

The damage isn’t very visible but I looked under the bumper and there are some cracks in the bumper cover pieces and indents in the center black piece. I am going to look in to my uninsured motorist coverage; I hope I am not on the receiving end here. I’m glad today I decided to leave a half an hour early for the kids soccer game, otherwise he would’ve been late.

    Yeah
Rock lights, I ran them on thir own relay triggered off the bed light switch circuit. Added a GM/Delphi 2 relay weather sealed box (2nd relay not yet wired but is planned out for some other cool shit) and those $26 Amazon rock lights I heard about here.

The box is just zip tied there to the clutch rez for now, I forgot to buy the mount for the box so that's coming along with more wire and parts for that other mod I mentioned. All electronic parts and wire from Ballenger Motorsports!
